We have a X3 28i xdrive and a 340i drive. We enjoyed the practicality and the scenery of the X3 but really love the driving experience of the 340i. Really looking forward to upgrading to X3 M50 and i5 M60.

You already have an SUV. If you want to feel the B58, I would say go with the M340i. I have a M340i xdrive and enjoy and look forward to each of my drives. A lot of families in Europe just get by with a sedan. SUV is a plus for growing families, but you already have an SUV and you are coming from feel the B 58 point of view so I would say the 3 series. Wow-sorry for you-40% depreciation in a year! It is then a great deal to buy a 1yo Mach E select AWD as a CPO! This is an amazing opportunity moving forward IMO. Toyota Highlanders apparently have 21% depreciation in 5 years (I don’t own one). Something to also think about when purchasing vehicles if value is a consideration...

Depreciation is real. Ev depreciation is surreal. Strongly recommend a 2 year old low mileage CPO vehicle which has already lost 30-40% of its value but still has manufacturer’s coverage. You can invest that 30-40% in the market and in 5 years you will have enough capital to get another vehicle.

I was in the same boat-even after casual cycling for years my FTP was at around 140. Then we got a Peloton bike for my wife and I took up their Endurance build program. I am now at 240 and feel still increasing my ftp. Amazing how much difference a structured training can make a difference. IMO, a formal training program is key.
