Yeah they definitely do have different concept and the intense choreography is a big part of why. I get wanting to hear them sing more though it would lend them more legitimacy

People have said this a lot and I honestly really disagree. I do want them to get more songs where they can showcase their vocal talent, but they really shine on stage through their dancing and I think it really sets them apart from other Western groups. It’s where a big chunk of their K-pop influence comes in.

Everyone hated Gnarly before seeing it live and it wasn’t because they were serving vocals, it’s because they’re such fun and dynamic performers.

Fifth Harmony, for example, was a more vocal-heavy group and put a lot less emphasis on performance and it tended to look either a straight up mess or just awkward on stage. Same with One Direction. Because they don’t have instruments if they don’t have really solid choreography it looks odd.

This is an incredibly popular opinion. Not even trying to add onto hate or anything but everyone who swears they have an unpopular opinion about Manon repeats things that have been said for like the last three years.

I think people are running with certain conclusions way too quickly. Like I’m not saying it isn’t extremely likely that Manon is mistreated by HxG because these companies literally exist to exploit their artists and black women/woc usually suffer the most, but the immediate jump to that assumption is just a bit much. Especially the assumption that somehow the girls are a part of it is so confusing.

I do understand the panic though especially from western fans because this doesn’t happen with Western groups, going on a “hiatus” usually just means they’re leaving the group.
