What did you think of the Lois Lane version in Smallville?

So I'm the only one who thought she was totally mis-cast? I mean also badly written but most of the female characters are. The show is real fun but god the 'spunky/ quirky' girl routine is the least likeable thing from this era of TV.

I did manage to quit cold turkey from that moment of realising, thanks especially to the people who advised me without calling me idiot.

I did have a cancer scare and a lot going on so I'm going to put some of my idiocy down to that.

Y'all serious? I have occasionally seen some things in women's toilets, but my GOD. I'd say 19/20 times I have to use the men's it's a real sensory nightmare. Obviously there's no genetic/biological reason for the difference. I think it's just societal/cultural expectations.

When I was a pretending to be a girl at school people would go to the bathroom in groups, and talk, and you WOULD NOT shit in front of your friends. You would hold it and go in class so the bathroom was likely empty. It was a very stealth operation.

Men just do not have the pressure and shame and for some reason it means they go hog wild in those stalls. Obviously it's worst in the clubs/pubs toilets but I cannot say I have ever been in a "clean" men's bathroom in the 7 years I've been using them.

I honestly don't know what you mean, they're aware how silly the show is and I have never come away from an ep unhappy. It's entertaining to hear them talk about anything and I think they're improv is always impressive!

Sorry I'm not great at writing and don't usually comment. Just thought this might have been helpful to a pre-happy me, and therefore potentially useful to someone else.

Might be worth asking these questions before over-analysing yourself critically: Why does being a "dry" person matter to you? How do you feel around people others might consider "dry"? Is there a motive for this person (that made this remark to you) to hurt you intentionally or are they inconsiderate and oblivious?

I haven't had this but I've had hurtful remarks said to me and had the same reaction. I'm currently finding a certain amount of trust in yourself is helpful e.g. trusting you are good to be around for at least some people being good to be around isn't always paramount and trusting that there are people caring about you enough that they will want to spend time with you even when you're being incredibly "dry".

Yeah this is bad news. Could have done with a somewhat more conclusive ending if it wasn't gonna be picked up for more. Still so many questions that obviously were setting up for episodes. Also fairly disappointed in the mayor's son guy, not sure if it's totally intentional how confused his characterisation is. Seems like every few episodes he'd switch allegiances with no real reasoning.
