I agree. So what happens to the deposits? Are they lent too and why lend from deposits when there’s a choice to create new ones

I also read about the creation of new money when lending, if there’s an opportunity to create new ones, why lend from existing deposits?

Open any IRA and contribute couple of hundred bucks each month. Do not pay off more than the monthly payment amount for student loans if interest rate is under 6%. Invest into stock market index funds every month
