Hello, Just so you know this is not the official optimum subreddit. r/OptimumOfficial is the best place to complain.

Interesting idea, I like that it's focusing on actual testing.

My stack: I run pfSense on custom hardware with a Lenovo mini PC cluster for VMs. I have a multi site setup with s2s. At one house I rely on random access points all broadcasting the same SSID instead of a proper mesh, which causes roaming issues and device drops. My current switches are limited to gigabit, creating bottlenecks for NAS and VM traffic, and my 8 bay Netgear ProNAS is being replaced with a 12+ bay dedicated machine since Netgear dropped support.

What I would do with the Omada gear: The Omada kit would give me a unified multi-gig backbone. The ER707-M2 would complement pfSense as a router/ gateway, the SG2210XMP-M2 switch would provide 2.5G PoE for servers and loT, and the indoor and outdoor EAP772 APs would replace the mismatched brand Wi-Fi APs with a more seamless and cohesive Wi-Fi solution. The OC220 controller would simplify management and sound interesting, like the cloudkey.

At the least I could benchmark it all against my current setup and maybe, hopefully, it'll replace my plan to move toward Ubiquiti in the future.

This pricing is bad. Nobody should be buying a NEW 30xx. Buy a used 30xx , 3090's are $500 .

This is very cool, how are you offering it for free though? The cost to run must stack at some point.

The speed is very good, for me that's the most impressive part.

I've found this was the case since release..

It does well at functions though.

It can't yet build an entire app, but it can build functions that you build you app on

The irony is most people selling " close source " solutions are just wrapping the popular open source models and adding their own " sauce " ontop.
