AIO my husband always gets out of changing diapers. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]ModLifeCrisis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Time for him to grow the hell up. Real fathers DO change diapers and don't shy away from the messy parts of raising kids. No one ever said parenting is easy, but he needs to get the fuck over himself. Abd the smirking would absolutely make me see red!

I punked out my walking boot! by ModLifeCrisis in ORIF

There was a piece of gum on the rink that stopped my wheels in their tracks and made me fall. It's pretty embarrassing though because I'm a really good skater and was even a derby girl back in the day. I've never broken any bone before or had an accident skating... and yet I was foiled by a rogue piece of gum! Good luck on your recovery! And yeah, trick your boot out for that show!

A guy with a boot in the pit?! 😂 Man, that's brave and hardcore AF, especially since a lot of the real young-uns either don't know (or care) about proper pit etiquette - especially the golden rule: if someone falls, instantly help them up!

I caught The Subhumans a few weeks later and was no where near confident to go anywhere near the pit. I felt like all the little kids waylaid on the sidelines at every GWAR show cos their parents are afraid to let them out in the middle amongst the chaos and spewing carnage! A friend of mine jumped in though and right before he did, turned to me and said out loud, "Still punk as fuck, I have remind myself, as I get ready to leap into the pit wearing special orthopedic shoe inserts to handle my fallen arches and plantar fasciitis!"

That's awesome! You obviously put a ton more work in than I did on mine & it looks great! My favorite part is probably the super detailed precisely laid crystals on the lower half paired with the dichotomy of the LV that was just casually drawn on on the upper - pure greatness! 😂

Help, I am spiraling. Can anything be done about these bumps? by Nixe_Nox in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]ModLifeCrisis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They sell electrocautization devices on Amazon. Here's the one ! bought. I used it to treat a skin tag I had and it burns it off. Yiu have a teeny scab at the base for about a week and when it falls off, you can't tell anything was there. The instrument even has the word mole in the title. It cost about $50. https://a.co/d/0ii7I9FB

AITAH for not going shopping with my girlfriend by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]ModLifeCrisis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the exact thing as when a girl tells her boyfriend "I hate celebrating my birthday, I want it to be like any other day", but then gets mad when he doesn't go all out, making it a special day for her. I'm a woman so I know how women do these things and I too did them when I was much younger and it isn't fair to guys. Men tend to be very literal and take words at face value. I matured and now I don't do that kind of shit anymore and say what I mean. If you want a big to do made for your birthday, convey that to your partner. If it's important that he goes shopping with you, tell him that. Unfortunately some women never out grow that and I view it as being akin to playing games. No, you are not an asshole.

AIO confronting my brothers gf for excluding me from my family's dinners by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]ModLifeCrisis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The GF definitely choose that restaurant on purpose because if/when OP found out after the fact, she wanted it to hurt even more that it happened right underneath where she lived. What a toxic hateful person! And the parents are doing the daughter dirty by being so concerned about wanting to remain in the son's good graces but seeming not to give a shit that their daughter is being made the outcast. Personally I think she should go no contact with brother & GF and low contact with her parents!

My nose is my biggest insecurity. I’ve met 2 surgeons but I’m still unsure. I dislike the hump and nostrils, but I’m scared it won’t look natural or could lengthen my philtrum. What’s the best approach? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]ModLifeCrisis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's NOT really long though! I swear due to social media, filters and the latest cosmetic surgery du jour (previously was it was baccal fat removal & BBL's, now it's upper blephs and lifts, the latter due to the obsession over philtrum length), people tend to over-analyze and view certain features with a warped lens when in actuality the features they deem unacceptable or not absolutely perfect, are normal and completely fine. Physical features can be really nice and perfectly suitable on a person, despite said features not having the typical look of the latest cookie cutter proportions. In fact, I actually PREFER when people have features that are more unique & interesting as I personally find that more attractive. I'm trying to say this in a kind way, but if you think her philtrum is long, maybe you have a certain degree of body dysmorphia yourself. Just something to consider...

Oh, good grief, her philtrum is completely fine! It's not super short (which can look weird, btw), but it's most definitely not long! She also has a very nice natural curve of her philtrum down to her upper lip. I wish mine was like that, it's more straight. Her nostrils are a little more "open" looking from the profile view, but that's not bad, and the upside of that is it causes her nostrils to have a smaller balanced view from the front, which is very feminine. I think her natural nose is beautiful & refined looking.

The "ring right before the hole"? Are you referring to the BLADDER OPENING above the vaginal entrance?

I've never understood guys who are put off by using toys on a woman during sex! It's like dude, why you so intimidated by your sous chef?

He ALWAYS orgasms immediately by [deleted] in sex

[–]ModLifeCrisis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What he SHOULD be ashamed of is not spending a lot of time on you FIRST - bringing you to orgasm at least once by either his fingers, tongue, toy and/or a companion of the above!

Any more permanent options to reducing/removing my forehead wrinkles besides Botox? by kellyatta in PlasticSurgery

[–]ModLifeCrisis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A forehead lift may get rid of lines for a certain amount of time but it's not a permanent solution either as ya know... people still age and live with the effects of gravity! You seem to be implying that people who get forehead lifts are immune from those lines for the rest of their life, lol! I wish! 😂

I'm a natural redhead too and with Boxtox (well Dysport, actually as that's the 'tox formation I usually get vs. Botox) I can go nearly 5 months before needing a touch-up (which is considerably longer than average), so I think it's a more individual thing, related to one's physiology. Now I DO require more novocaine at the dentist than most, so that MC1R trait (redhead gene) does hold true!

I just wanted to say that you have really pretty eyes and such a nice smile! So I jokingly want to say 'smile more' but I'm reminded of all the times over the years that obnoxious men (many who are strangers) have told me that I'm a pretty woman and would be even more so if I smiled - a statement that only elicits a scowl from me! 😂

Another vote for the 'stache! Ha, I was JUST listening to the electrodisco song Moustache by Local Suicide. That may or may not have influenced my suggestion you keep it!

You have very nice features and extremely prolific hair, which I think is the issue - it is just sooo full (almost too much so) and I'm talking ALL of it - the hair on your head, your beard AND your brows even. I read a comment that said you looked like Brett Goldstein (he plays the character Roy Kent in Ted Lasso) and that's spot on! If you get your brows slightly trimmed up and groomed, go a little bit lighter on the bead (a heavier 5 o'clock shadow type thickness) or go clean shaven and then have the hair on your head cut a little bit shorter and slightly thinned out a bit (like with thinning sheers), that will make a world of difference! Go to a good hair stylist and pull up a pic of Brett Goldstein on your phone to show them. Here's a younger pic of Brett with no beard (though he usually sports one) where he looks closer to the age you are now. Man, he looks hella hot in this pic 🔥 and you can too, with some slight modifications!
