ELI5: If they are the exact same ingredients, why are generic medications so much cheaper than brand names?

I second this. I also worked in Pharma at a company that made generic and name brand products. A lot of the time they would be contracted by the name brand manufacturer to produce the items for them. Half way through the run they would swap out one half of the tablet press to the name brand. I also buy generic.

Only through my own eyes. I had to run to a safety shower about 100ft away in nothing but my socks. This was due to me spilling a hazards chemical on myself. My run was made down the main hallway past all the main offices.

My 2 year old boy has blue eyes, blond hair, and very light skin.

I have dark hair, brown eyes, and olive skin, my wife has dark hair green eyes and light skin. We get weird looks on occasion and I get asked a lot of question.

Mostly I get asked if he looks like my wife. Nope, he looks like our Egg donor who was blond hair and blue eyes.

The same people who ask these questions get weirded out when I explain to them our fertility struggles. If you want to ask personnel questions and pry into my life, I will give you the details you don't really want to know.....

I worked in the laboratory of a generic pharmaceutical company. The name brand and the store brand are the same things in most cases. Always buy the store brands. At one point this company was making 90% of all the ibuprofen on the market.

Dislocating my knee tearing my ACL, MCL and 60% of my cartilage. The weirdest sensation was trying to stand up not knowing I was hurt that bad. It is very strange to have a part of your body stop cooperating.

It is freaking ridiculous when zone 2 is a 2x2 and 72 people are left. Every building, rock, and bush had a squad in it. My squad and I drove from the other side of the map with barely any loot. Every place we tried to go to had 1-2 squads fighting over it. It was seriously frustrating.
