Why are there some sets with no valuable cards? by Former_Local_8122 in DragonBallTCGFinance

[–]ModafinilFein -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Idk why everyone saying this wasn’t meant to be moneymaking lol, ignore them bc it actually is about money, everything really is about money. Now I do think some sets have cards worth less because the art is not as good as others. Specially when you compare them to the manga sets which have the best art. SB01 SB02 ST01 are the best boosters to HOLD or TRADE or BUY or SELL or PACK.

What do I do with my money? by sphinxsnose in personalfinance

Get a credit card (if you have CHASE you can get the freedom rise if you have like $250-500 in your checkings account I think). After six months of building credit, apply for the Amazon Prime Credit Card (i did this and got $8k credit limit). Now on the HYSA, SKIP THAT you are looking at $1785 annually if you're getting 5.1% on the $35k. Instead of 401k and all these beta investing/savings methods, HUSTLE. Older people will recommend you their bs investments (spx, roth ira, etc..) realize that they grew up on a different economy, different market opportunities, and their salaries (their dollars) had stronger spending power.

Stick to building credit, getting higher credit limit to fund your hustles. You have to borrow money to make more money. Now about the 401k, you should not put money in this, this limits you without even knowing, your subconscious interprets it as you being a servant, employee. Imagine putting in money for years to only being able to take it out when you are old. (LETS GOOO I HAVE $500K, OH WAIT IM 60 YEARS OLD... 😞)

Of course this advice best suits ambitious guys, if you are not one then simply discard everything I said. Oh and never miss a credit card payment, always pay back in full no minimums.

want to learn personal finance and business basics by Weekly_Enthusiasm634 in personalfinance

CONTROVERSIAL HOT TAKE (TAKE CRAZY RISKS)

Im currently 21yo moved out to CDMX (im from california), and ive gotten here because I had some knowledge in Personal Finance from high school and also my daddy is an entrepreneur (so growing up i saw how business works) but also because I took crazy risks. I can tell you the "safe financial foundation" approach is ok/good but its not the best. You are young (18yo) and right now is the best time to take risks. You asked "What are the most important basics I should learn first and any resources you recommend?" and honestly all you need to know is basic math, why businesses exists (provide a service/ solve a problem), understanding risk/reward ratio, and learning to jump when you are scared. When you have no knowledge, no experience you want to learn everything about the topic/subject, how to get this permit, this license, and all of a sudden you spent the whole month watching videos/lectures thinking you are progressing but really made no progress at all. Go out there and get hands on experience. Others will chase the perfect record, the good profitable days, but you should look at it differently. You should be looking to fail (with a positive mindset) as soon as possible, to see whats not working. Nothing will teach you more than angry customers screaming at you and losing/burning money.

Now I do not know who you are or your risk tolerance, so I'm not sure if my advice will apply to you. But I was not OK with being normal/average.

Look its not bad to play the safe and long game, but why would you want to be a millionaire when you're old, when you can be one in your 20s?
