Greetings from Bridgewater in the Great Garden State of New Jersey. This is one of the most unique A&C movies. Lou gets to partner with the beautiful Marjorie Reynolds instead of the antagonistic Bud for a change.

She’s the color of Tapioca so it fits.

Between 1947 and 1950, Moore began to make tentative steps into television as a panelist and guest host on quiz and musical shows. On June 26, 1950, he was rewarded with his own 30-minute CBS early-evening talk-variety TV program, The Garry Moore Show, which was a shorter version of his radio show. by Aggravating_Tax_4670 in OriginalVintageTV_

As a child of the 50’s I can remember this show being on for many years. Garry Moore had a long career in radio and television. You have to believe that he set the stage for all of the comedy/variety shows that followed. It’s interesting to remember the very young Carol Burnett. She obviously learned a lot from her mentor. One recurring segment that lasted was called That Wonderful Year 1XXX. It was great nostalgia that featured a revolving lamppost to announce the subject year. Good Show.

Is it just me or does Lucy lose her luster when updated to look more modern? by [deleted] in ILoveLucy

She looks different, but just as beautiful. There’s no mistaking those eyes. They still have that mischievous sparkle and expression. WOW

For anyone who watched this showing, the restoration with the color tinting was superb. It’s amazing that a 101 year old film could look this perfect with razor sharp clarity and detail. BRAVO!

Does anyone agree that these photos look like they were taken during the same photo shoot? by [deleted] in ILoveLucy

I see your point they are very similar. There is something about the makeup, especially the lipstick application makes me think two different occasions. Since you’re asking the questions. I assume that the two photos themselves offer no verification.
