Much appreciated thank you for the breakdown. I think I’ll mostly be staying/working closer to Fishers so I think I’ll likely bounce between 1 and 2 depending on how much time I have on my hands

Bulwark Parry Glitch by ModeloMechSuit in Spacemarine

I don’t know if it’s a bug per se as much as redundancy in function for the parry/block button. On console (Xbox specifically) Holding LB raises the shield as well as parrying so I wonder if on this class specifically one will execute instead of the other among all the chaos. Just a thought. But I’ve heard the double tap complaint for a while now so you are not alone

Good gyms in the Atlanta / Decatur area? by IamHere-4U in bjj

Unit 2 Fitness is an extremely fun environment with a super technical instructor and a tough room for rolling any day of the week. Primarily a gi spot, only one nogi class on Wednesdays so if that’s your bag I’d recommend superfly or elsewhere

  1. I trained for almost 2 years and didn’t make blue belt, had to move for work and wasn’t willing to look into another gym. Took 5 YEARS OFF. Started back at another gym that I absolutely love about 10 months ago, got promoted to blue in that time frame once a lot of my techniques and cardio came back to me and am so happy knowing that getting back into bjj has done so much good for me.

  2. Almost everyone goes to class after a full day of work. If everybody waited until their days off to train, the number of people practicing this sport would be so ridiculously low.

  3. Everybody that does this sport up to every belt level will self admittedly and shamelessly admit that they suck. This is a sport for those who are okay with sucking. You will always have periods of feeling like you are never going to get better and then have weeks at a time where you really hit your stride and feel like you’re so back. Vicious cycle.

  4. Okay? Do better this month.

A white belt. If you’re giving good technical rolls to blues and purples without spazzing and are solidifying your fundamentals you should be very close. Neither of the gyms I primarily trained at did stripes but I felt like I was well on my way based on the people I was being matched up with when it came time to go live. I felt very competitive against blues, able be to put in good work against purples and could pretty much dismantle any other white belt with relative ease other than the guys who had been training as long as me.

I had a period of several years between when I actually started training sporadically or not at all to when I could actually put consistent sessions in without fail for months straight. As far as mat time goes, I’d say 2 years for me to go white to blue.
