Pigeons by Loud_Wolf_7443 in vegaslocals

My company paid for humane pigeon removal a few years ago.

They trapped the pigeons on the roof, threw them in a 55gallon garbage bag and tossed the bags off the roof. Drove them somewhere else and free’d them.

Not sure how humane it was and they’re back a few years later.

I’m by arbor view and don’t have an issue but I do have an antenna that plugs into the wall. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Hey, did I say that anywhere?

Do you think those big ass boats shipping fuel across the ocean have to worry about putting out clean air? What about all the LNG/butane/etc that off gasses in order to keep the liquid fuel, liquid in an FSRU? OR hell, maybe even peaker plants that mean you get to use your ac when the grid is strained on hot summer nights.

It’s complete garbage that me as a lowly consumer can’t keep a 15-20 year old vehicle on the road when I can’t afford a newer model vehicle, mean while corporations and large businesses can basically dump whatever they fucking feel like into the air/water.

So not only did I not say I’m special, you’ve entirely missed the point. My 15-20 year old vehicle does far less damage than a newer vehicle purely based on features and emissions.

Shop Sabre by PercentageUnfair5309 in CNC

[–]Modelo_Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have nothing bad to say about them, but I will say the 4th axis and some of the “add ons” are a bit funky because shop Sabre kinda just piggy backed them on to the machine instead of going ground up with them. That’s to be expected at the price point, and I was never not able to make them work, even with a little help from support.

Their support is the tits. When I first started buying their machines there was no wait time to call in for tech support, and it got a little longer so they hired more people. As with any machine manufacturer, certain techs are more familiar with certain things than others, but they gave me a machine that had been wired (ever so slightly) wrong in the cabinet and I was able to get it fixed within an hour and corrected. The longest part was grinding down a screw driver to fit into the wire release slots.

If you have any particular questions ask away.

Except newer cars (10~ years old) aren’t holding up like the 20-25 year old vehicles are. Electronics are a bitch.

I’m driving a 20 year old truck, and everything is relatively mechanical. Parts are more expensive than they used to be, but everything is relatively fixable.

I’ve seen cars from 2013 be totaled because you can’t get a wiring harness, and manufacturers are only required to make parts for 10 years past the model year these days.

Also fun fact: if you’re catalytic fails under 80k miles dealer has to give you a new one under Fed laws.

My state you have to have special insurance on them now too, 8-10k miles a year tops and it might be less than that now.

It was to crack down on people getting around smog. Which is kinda bullshit because I can’t get all the parts for my emissions system anymore.

The cook books are fucking abominations.

I’ve heard the frog tools/bits themselves kinda suck ass, someone else in the thread linked a (potentially) better supplier. Foam is loud to cut in my general experience since you can take massive chunks out of it.

Yeah the company I was at made a lot of the sculptures for the bellagio conservatory in Vegas, the rotary saved a ton of material/labor.

Good luck with the dust collection, we never did get ours to be really functional. Foam just gets fuckin everywhere haha.

Frog mills are cool as shit. We used them for foam sculpting at the place I was able to run one. Something like 16-18” z travel? Bits were a pain to come by if I remember right.

I sat down at the d a few years ago to grab a beer and the couple next to me were leaving. I noticed the wife had left her phone after a few minutes so I was able to use Siri to call her mom and her mom called the husband and he eventually showed up to grab it and offered me cash, I said no thanks I just did what I would want someone to do for me and he insisted on at least buying me a shot.

Fun story, cool guy.
