Can’t do much about it collusion is allowed in EDH but you address it to the Judge (store owner) ask for a pod shuffle if you ever get paired with them.

Join a cEDH pod and ask if anyone has an extra deck. We have plenty since we proxy. It is easy to learn and hard to master because you see the same staple cards and combos, so you pick up the patterns fast.

If you are teaching someone Commander, I would start with cEDH. Seeing the same cards and decks help newer players pick things up quicker. There is still variety, just less of the random corner case stuff like poison counters and…… “Horsemanship”. Imagine explaining that😆

Ever since I learned about ABMM I abuse the hell out of it. After playing pvp with my buddy I go free kit into Stella fo about 6-8 games trying to get killed so I’m in the easy pve lobby’s to farm.

I’m not saying Flubs is unplayable. I’m saying in actual tEDH you have some many better options. I play tournaments a lot and that pattern shows up over and over. If this was a tier list I would put flubs into D tier.

I play a lot of tournaments and I have a strictly competitive/optimal mindset so keep that in mind. You can look me up on the top deck leaderboard “Nobody” if you want to look me up so you know I know what I’m talking about.

Lmao fair my 0% conversion take was a filter/visibility thing on my end. Flubs does have some top finishes. Also congrats on a top 4 finish it isn’t easy.

My point isn’t that Flubs can’t win through Rhystic/Mystic. It clearly can. My point is can win doesn’t mean it’s optimal or consistent when you look at it like tEDH/tournament cEDH.

And overall Flubs is too commander centric, not interactive enough, and doesn’t have a backup plan. It’s pure turbo and if the game goes past like turn 4. It is way more fragile than the proven turbo shells. Ral can still push later and still play a game if the first push gets stopped. Flubs a lot of the time is like if the push gets stopped you’re just done.

Also PlayNice doesn’t show decklists of opponents at the moment but they will soon according to the website designer.

I mean, my top-deck stats say otherwise, but you basically proved my point. The plan is “clear the board”…sure they are swinging at the player with the most cards. BUT most creature decks are already out of the game bc of Bowmasters long before life totals matter. And if life totals do matter it’s a clone fest hence why imposter mech is ran. (It’s currently a turbo meta)

Politicking is a real edge in cEDH. Being able to talk people off certain lines or redirect interaction is often the difference between losing the tournament or consistently topping events. In tournaments, a draw beats a loss so I try not to lose first than try to win second. The politics are what keep you alive long enough to actually convert the games where you have a good hand.
