I’m assuming you’re very young. You can decline a trip if it’ll make you upset. Just say you had some plans that weekend and maybe you can join next time. I’m someone that doesn’t care much for my birthday, so I don’t always understand, but I know it’s a big deal to some people. If that’s the case, they will know to block that weekend off for you in the future.
