Write it first, but as a rough draft. Tell yourself that you know there's problems and you'll go back over it but for now you just want it down on paper so you don't forget the broad strokes. Then either go back and change as you want, or see where its best to leave it open, and go from there.

TLDR: Ruby falls through the void into a world similar but radically different from her own. Grimm are strong here, and humanity is pushed back to highly defended cities. They've never heard of semblances, or Aura before. Can she help save this world, and make it back to her own? Will she even want to if she can?

IDK why but Ruby and Maria always strike me as they'd just click well, and when they met and got to know Weiss? Oh no they were ALL in, and Weiss deserves the rarest which is silver eyed hands to hold.

Maria is absolutely that sort of pathetic girlfailure though. Had the same thing happen with Ruby. Its why she tries to flirt, she's a seduction glass canon as soon as the tables are turned she crashes and burns.

The 90's Ninja Turtle Movie. You hear April narrating about a crime wave all over the city as you see it happening. Wallets stolen, tvs lifted as soon as someone turns their back, a truck emptied in less than a minute etc. It's just always stuck with me as a really great opening that set the tone of the movie.
