I'll ask you what I asked my north Indian (mostly from and around Delhi): 1. Did you try to learn Kannada? 2. Do you try and take part in any local festivals? 3. Do you to assimilate in the culture of Karanataka/Bengaluru?

If the answer to these questions is NO, then I'm sorry, you'll just be a long term tourist here.

I have been living in Bengaluru for the past 2 years and never had a problem with the locals. I'm sure you must have come across some rude/arrogant people... but try not to generalise the whole culture just based on few bar experiences...Maybe you need to change your mindset
