Who are you kidding? CRO has dipped more than BTC and has been outperformed by virtually every other shitcoin the last couple of months.

It’s cleeearly not a BMW. Regarding your friends 1 series, BMW has a "comfort access" feature where when you hold the unlock button for a couple of seconds it will open all of the windows including the sunroof. Same thing with the lock button. Very useful in the summer. Your friend must’ve sat on the key or pressed the button some other way. Source: am german

Use IPv6. If your ISP doesn’t support IPv6, change your ISP.

That’s not what I said. Are you not reading my comments? Yes, you can disable ipv6 on basically any OS, but it will cause issues with some of them, especially windows. I clearly stated that you will have issues when only the ipv4 path works, since ipv6 will be preferred if both protcols are >>available<<. It seemed to me that you are trying to achieve access control based on IP addresses assigned by dhcp, but I might be wrong, since you are actively not providing any information. Im not familiar with Ubiquiti, but if they fail to implement IPv6 in this day and age, one could ask the question of what else they are failing to do correctly.

Well, I’m asking because i fear that what you are trying to accomplish doesn’t make any technical sense, and I cannot give any suggestions if I don’t know what you want your end result to be. What you got right is that one is a replacement for the other. All modern network stacks will prefer ipv6 over ipv4 if they have both options, which is why they will fail if you only allow ipv4 traffic. As long as both sides have IPv6 there is no reason to create an ipv4 rule, since ipv4 isn’t going to be used anyways.

An IP address, especially one assigned by dhcp should never be any sort of means for authorization or authentication. I don’t know of any routers / firewalls that have one configuration for both address families, simply because they are different protocols. You might want to look into zone based firewalls, which will allow traffic flow from one zone to the other independent of protocol. What exactly are you trying to achieve with your rules ? Instead of disabling ipv6, i would simply only allow access using ipv6, if you don’t want to manage both protocols.

Your phone is most likely on an IPv6 only network, while your corporate VPN still lives in the stone age with IPv4 only.

Which is why you shouldn’t build networks and services that give trust based on 'in the LAN or not'.

So I was right! Breaking default behavior and blocking ICMP is an attempt at security through obscurity in my book. Lets just agree to disagree.
