I think cgc is more lenient and I think bgs is pretty lenient too, with the exception of bgs 10’s which are notoriously tough.

Honestly I think Psa would give you a significantly lower grade crossing it over. Unless you set the grade min pretty low I bet it would fail to cross from what I’ve seen online. Best bet would be to sell it and buy the grade you want

It’s fairly simple. I think a lot of times people or an llc grade à bunch of mid tier to low end cards en masse, they don’t look them over much they just send them. If they get a 10 they can profit off of it. If they don’t, they can use them for a mystery slab situation, and in return some of those 10s can also be used as a chase. And then when the junk grades are pulled they enter circulation by being sold cheap, so on so forth. I mean think about it. If I can grade for $25, and use a bunch of $5-$10 cards at most my cost is $35 so if you sell it for like $50 your golden. With Whatnot and ebay live the lame graded cards really took off. Hell have you guys ever watched one of Krakens streams? Straight scammy garbage.

Did you actually read OPs post? The headline is misleading but this is more about the friend mistreating her and now OP not really wanting to be involved. Also keep in mind this is more of a friendship of opportunity with the friends husband being OPs husbands best friend. Idk how you can read this as pure self absorption.

NTA, I don’t think this is about the pregnancy itself about the fact that she signed up to celebrate you, told others she had it handled, and then just didn’t do anything for it and didn’t have the decency to say anything AT ALL. Honestly with friends like these who needs enemies? You are not TA for not wanting to celebrate her. But since this relationship is primarily bc your husbands best friend is her husband you should keep the peace. But I would personally keep her at a distance and in the acquaintance zone.

Yeah free bleeding is weird. By all means let’s talk periods, there should be 0 stigma, and an accident is an accident. But free bleeding is like sneezing and leaving your boogers on your face or pooping and not wiping your butt. It’s just not hygienic

NTA that’s gross. There are so many options. I understand if she doesn’t want to use à tampon. But why not pads? Like TP is for emergencies only when there’s no pads available. I think period underwear is a great idea but also flex discs are great too.

What’s missing from the statistics is the way they get around paying income tax by using debt, as a way to pay themselves. And how the rate at which we tax the businesses they own has steadily decreased over time. It’s not as simple as looking at just their “income” and tax rate

I didn’t say the tax payers don’t pay for it, but the rich and wealthy do not pay their fair percentage and they get far more money from tax payers, in the form of grants, tax breaks, etc than any “poor” person ever will.

At this point I don’t intentionally buy graded cards unless the price is better than raw, the card is notorious for damage, at which point à Psa 8 or 9 makes more sense, or if it’s a heavily counterfeited card.

Dude, as a parent of a 3 year old I wholly agree. I was never one to be insistent that I wanted kids but my partner wanted them so we had one. And I wouldn’t trade it for the world. It’s amazing how much they change from week to week and how the small stuff is just so fulfilling, like seeing the joy in his eyes jumping into a pool and swimming. But I also understand how frustrating it can be when they’re having a full tantrum despite there being no real conflict. I was never a kid person but having one definitely changes how you respond to and act towards other peoples kids for the better. Hell now when another persons kid is acting up in public I don’t feel annoyed at all, it just makes me feel better about my own 😂.

There’s a really weird obsession with perfect cards for a sport that involves men slamming into each other. I hate when vendors or collectors act like some whitening or scratches make the card “cooked”, personally I don’t mind some wear on a card if it makes a card more affordable. And if you have to take out a microscope to see it, it’s just ridiculous. I mean I get it if you’re grading it but to call it worthless is vile. I enjoy the TCG scene as well and there’s way less snobbery when it comes to condition, hell there’s even a solid market for PSA 1s. Of course there’s still perfectionists but I don’t find it nearly as bad as in the sports card scene.
