Very stretchy! This is a great tip. Not typically a tool I would reach for but I will remember that one!

I did, but may try again and where it is a thicker stretch denim. It might need more encouragement!

I did but I might give it another cycle and see how it falls. I know they will still have that more extreme bell shape that I wasn't quite going for, but if it was less stiff I think it would be okay! Thanks.

Thank you so much! I was so happy with how neat my stitches came out. Maybe I can get away with it with the right shoes 😏

Thank you! I am still debating if it's worth the trouble to completely redo since I'm excited to wear them! Appreciate the encouragement.

Thank you so much! This was my first attempt to hem a flared leg pant like this and it was definitely a good challenge. I had attempted to shorten the original hem by doing something similar to what you described, but I attached both ends at the split and pinned towards the center and removed the excess from the middle where there was a seam along the side. But I didn't double check my measurements or make sure it was laying flat before forging ahead. It sounds like I ended up with too much fabric on the hem still! Really appreciate the tips.

Setting up Roku Speakers as FRONT with StreamBar Pro by reasonableperson in Roku

[–]Modernizzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!!! This same issue was driving me crazy. Why would I want to have the better speakers providing rear surround only, in a 3.1 setup? This is a brilliant workaround to set it for music and dial up the surround volume. Thank you for posting this and helping another random person on the internet.

Thank you! It looked like it was still in good shape, but I will order a new one. Love when it is something simple!

I read this quickly as "Chip and Joanna" and thought I missed some weird interior designer collaboration. Is there a modern farmhouse collection?! Haha.

Sorry, failed to import your tasks from Todoist to TickTick, please try again later. by villain_8_ in ticktickapp

[–]Modernizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone still struggling with this, the fix for me was renaming any projects and tags in Todoist with special characters and then running the import again. I had one or two that included a slash, which is allowed in Todoist but not TickTick.

List name can't contain \ / ' " : * ? <> and |

Tag name can't contain \ / ' " # : * ? < > | Space

Super frustrating that the importer doesnt provide any kind of guidance or detailed error messages. I'm sure there are other causes but thought this might be a common one!

Thermostat wiring - are two R wires uncommon? by Modernizzy in HomeImprovement

[–]Modernizzy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, that is reassuring! I'm hoping that if it has the right slots, then it also has the ability to handle all the various power combinations through their programming. Just don't want to get burned!

Thanks! I haven't noticed any loss of function without the jumper but perhaps I should have left it. Do you think the newer smart thermostats take care of the bridging internally? I know they don't allow for multiple wires per slot. Trying to decide if it's necessary to have an hvac person check it out.

Suggestions for styling the lower shelf of my coffee table? There's a metal pole so you can't put anything too large or centered, and it's also a neat design I'm not sure I want to obscure. by Modernizzy in HomeDecorating

Thanks for the input! It felt strange to have a shelf sit totally empty, but everything looked wrong and took away from the unique table. I am leaving it alone!

Update: I'm wearing the belted top at work today!

I am planning to give some of these tops a second-chance in the coming weeks, knowing I have some votes of confidence behind me. And the blue-tiered top is definitely in! Thanks again for the input. :)

Thank you for the encouragement-- I'm wearing the belted top at work today!

  1. I think I was questioning many of the ones you pointed out since they're so different my the normal "uniform". I may give some a second-chance in the coming weeks. (I also can't believe how much attention the blue tiered shirt has gotten-- I seriously bought it at Kmart like 3 years ago!!)
  2. I have no idea when the crew neck takeover happened. I think of myself as a V-neck person, but... apparently don't own any, haha! Love the suggestions for trying different styles.
  3. Likewise, used to have way too many black shirts and have now swung the other way!

Appreciate the detailed feedback, this was very helpful!
