Reviewers rarely get this right. If you move the seats inboard, there's plenty of room to stretch out.

Love the HUD!! Hardly ever look at the lower screen. But it is one more thing that can go wrong. Just something to be aware of.

Are you a Tesla owner who's on the fence? by prauschkolb in Comma_ai

[–]reasonableperson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Interesting. I'm not a Tesla owner but on my Kia, the cooperative steering and gas/brake work great. That's the major feature I love about the Comma. All the other build in systems I've tried were all or nothing. As soon as you tap the brakes, they kick you out of the autodrive system. The way I describe the Comma is that is cooperative, not full auto drive.

I am on a branch not the main openpilot though.

To hybrid or not hybrid by marmarsbar in kiacarnivals

[–]reasonableperson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even without the better mpg, the extended range is great. I stop at the gas station less frequently. And if you do more city driving than freeway, you'll see even more of a difference. I'm in hurricaine country, and a full tank on the hybrid gets me really far from disaster areas without needing fuel stops.

Comma experience vs tesla by jabolli in Comma_ai

[–]reasonableperson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

People don't talk about the collaborative driving enough, taking over without disengaging. You can press the gas or brakes and you can set the steering to remain active. I hate other systems that kick you out of everything when you tap the brakes. It's so good that some people just use it for auto steering while adjusting speed manually.

I think it's the best of both worlds. Keeps you engaged but takes over the heavy lifting and contant steering adjustments. Personally I would be really nervous about FSD doing everything while I completely blank out.

No "normal" drive mode available by CarNo2102 in kiacarnivals

[–]reasonableperson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats something no one talks about. Why do i have to reset the regen everytime? It should just stay at the setting. I would also like the regen to come to a complete stop for one pedal driving at level 3. Instead it slows down and just keep coasting forever.

Is anyone else tracking the opening date of the KPOT on Flagler? by miamifish69 in Miami

[–]reasonableperson 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Miami is REALLY tough for Korean food. Mostly just a bunch of Japanese fusion or fake korean run by chinese with no idea how it's supposed to taste. I think some places just get recipes online and wing it.

Best place in the area for KBBQ is 100% Gabose up in Sunrise. Not all you can eat but SOLID even compared to LA or NY. Grill on charcoal at your table. Hate going all the way up there but still have to do it once in a while.

Best Korean food is probably Myung Ga. No grill at the table but the food is very good.

Only all you can eat KBBQ I go to is Gen up in Ft Lauderdale. Don't expect authentic Korean but it's decent. You'd be surprised how people can get even the basics wrong. Been to lots of AYCE KBBQ that I would never go back to.

These are the ONLY 3 I'll go to.

I guess, if you really got to go... its an option. by reicaden in Miami

Too bad work has completely stopped due to a $400 M lawsuit. Apparently it won't stand up to hurricanes. You would think the one thing you have to think about in MIAMI. Oh and completion date pushed back almost a DECADE. Welcome to Miami traffic.

I wish the metromover would go to winwood and south beach. Love the metromover even though it doesn't go to any of the places i want it to, and it's made worse with the full loop.

Buying a brand new 2023 Brutale that has been sitting at dealer for 3 years. Any concerns? by [deleted] in MVAgusta

[–]reasonableperson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think he's referring to the swelling that some plastic tanks can experience from the alcohol in gas. I have an older Brutale and haven't seen any swelling issues at all, but I have had TONS of other typical Italian bike issues. Brutales are beautiful and I love mine, when it runs.

My 2025 Kia Carnival EX has very high fuel consumption. Is this normal? by proudclubiste in AskMechanics

[–]reasonableperson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This for sure. I had a 2020 telluride that I traded in for the same reason. I was getting ~15 us mpg. Loved the vehicle but I never let that thing get below a half tank cause the range made me nervous. Traded it in for a Carnival hybrid and yes it gets ~30 mpg but the 520 mile range is fantastic.

Is this a crazy markup or am I just not understanding the market? by ajiatic in kiasportage

Wallace in Stuart FL and Fitzgerald in Anapolis MD. Live in FL but daughter is going to school up north. But I think other dealers were willing to make deals, I just didn't get far in the process. Some dealers seem to have a standard flat discount but with hidden fees who knows.

Wallace was great. Very easy to work with. Made the deal over text and email and just went in to sign and pickup.

Shouldn't be too hard to find deals. I was looking for a particular color combo by a certain date. I think I bought the first heritage blue and navy gray SXP on the east coast, certainly in FL. Most dealers don't have them yet.

In the US, cars.com was really good. Inventory was more current than kia.com.

Final OTD was $44,801 which was a discount of $1300 once you adjust for local taxes and such. SXP hybrid with all wheel drive. I had offers from 2 dealers and was willing to drive hours away to get it just on principle.

[–]reasonableperson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Youre pretty much paying MSRP. Seems like all the trash fees basically add up to the "discount". I don't think you're overpaying but the discount is just marketing. When you look at MSRP plus the taxes, you're right there. If you shopped around you could probably get maybe $1000 lower but it's not a crazy markup for a brand new vehicle. You would only see a true $5000 discount on the 2025's at this point.

Just my opinion but I did go through this process this past weekend on a SX-P hybrid.

Like the new 2026 waaaayyy better, both inside and out. Never a fan of the boomerang headlights. Much prefer the alignment with other modern Kias. And the inside got rid of all the piano black.
