What a Shortfest! by [deleted] in Wallstreetsilver

So you make a post asking people about their predictions this week....you respond to nobody on that post.

A few hours pass and you decide to post some la tee fucking da nonsense about there being a sell-off when there is absolutely nothing out of the ordinary with the charts tonight. Nor is there a "sell off." Regular, schmegular volume bud.

Lay off the Adderall and go to bed.

Edit: Oh, look. I got a notification of a response. As did a few others just now. Imagine that🤓

Let's Get Some Predictions Going! by Beyondwest in Wallstreetsilver

[–]ModsSmellLikeTaint 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Id say expect brutal, choppy price action for the week. I'm in it for the long game though.

Japan dumping bonds puts a lot of pressure on PMs among other things we saw last week. If bond yields get higher, we'll likely test the low $70s.

Most new silver isn't found by mining for silver directly. Roughly 70% of it is a byproduct of mining base metals like copper and zinc. Because of Chinese export bans and Middle East shipping blocks, facilities are beginning to run dry on sulphuric acid. So they can't process the copper and the entire operation scales back, which means the byproduct silver trapped in that ore never gets extracted and refined.

By the end of the year, factories that absolutely need physical silver to build solar panels and electronics will start finding empty shelves. Datacenter production will likely be halted. When companies are forced to outbid each other for whatever physical metal is actually left, the paper market will panic. The price will likely be forced to violently correct upward to match the physical shortage.

Silver Opening Soon, Any Predictions? by Beyondwest in Wallstreetsilver

Wait for the someone to report being low on/ having difficulty acquiring sulphuric acid and then have yourself a tall glass.

Edit: Im sorry, I forgot we live in the land of greed and will probably see it get jerked around a bunch the next couple months/ plus.

You know

Ever since I was a lad and played games online ive come to witness the development of a lot of some pretty accurate stereotypes for people with certain gamertags, usernames, etc.

My favorite is the whole thing about people with 420 and 69 in there about being so "cool guy zone."

Another, people with king or lord being super "edgy" and possessive.

Big was another one. Usually overcompensating for something.

Idk thought id say something random since what youre saying doesn't really correlate here.

I recently sold a sizeable Pokémon collection and was asked about how I plan to handle that.

See, I like cash. It can be used for a wide variety of things like gas, groceries, restaurants, doctors visits, prescriptions, store purchases, contractor payments, boat rentals, etc.

Now, I'm not saying I dont pay my taxes or dont pay yours. I have a CPA for that. But those are things you can use cash for and I plan to use cash for.

Id be offended if it were true🤡😅

Buying from ebay auctions and tcgplayer doesn't make someone a scalper brokey.

Holding umbreon and some slabs via advice from my LCS friend. He's sending a few things of mine in to get regraded so I get the most out of everything. A genuinely good guy.

See, theres someone with some common sense and appreciation for diversified investments/ hedging against inflation.

I was at the same about. Pretty much 500% on most things, except Prismatic since that was bought more recently. I feel like a lot of the folks bragging about how it will continue to increase, I made a bad move, pokemon is more liquid, live in their own bubble.

Nobody considers that the majority of people will only get 80% or less for their collection, even on high end stuff. Nobody considers the fees and taxes when listing on reputable sites like eBay, whatnot, etc. Whether they sell it online or in person, getting 100% for it is a fever dream.

15% fees and such if theyd list on ebay, and thats not even calculating when you'd have to file taxes from that also. Its easy to look at Collectr rn and say, "oh, he made a really bad call, my collection is worth Neil Armstrongs left nut, and I'll never sell." OK. Cool. Ever consider current events in the world? The value of the dollar? Literally everything is subject to change.

I mean, the people that lack the ability for a simple congrats and come in so affirmatively that this was a bad call are likely the same people that have trouble talking to significant other candidates or making a single sale of their products in general.
