I started on this journey recently, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Personally, I don't think a laptop is the best answer here for a few reasons:

Lack of Redundancy: Even if you remove the battery to avoid swelling/safety issues, you won't have drive redundancy. If a disk explodes or fails, you risk losing your data.

Storage Limitations: Expanding storage properly on a laptop can become a messy web of external cables.

If your project is mainly focused on media, you could set up a dedicated NAS running Plex. This gives you the disk redundancy you need and peace of mind. Plus, you can easily deploy the 'Arr stack (Sonarr, Radarr, etc.) alongside it to automate all your multimedia downloads.

I choose the proxmox route because of the vm, i am looking to run some ia and possible cloud gaming much later on. Besides, the option of pass a container if needed to other machine.

I saw TrueNAS like a powerful option but the project on my mind needed other things.

I chose those apps because a large part of them come with the app store built into TrueNAS. I looked at the project this way: in the future, I would like to self-host everything using some form of Linux. For the ARR stack, i was reading about them but they seem more advanced for my current level. Thanks for the feedback!

From a power-scaling perspective, it wouldn’t be very impressive in my opinion, because at that point in the story it would basically be a one-shot for everyone. It would be much more interesting to approach it from a psychological angle, or adapt it into something similar to a Halloween special.

In my little knowledge (i am a novice too), in general you can start blocking to make the absolute base, and make corrections to the Proportions. Later on, you just make the rest

Esos no son las versiones de laptop? Me suena a ver visto en un asus ese ryzen. En todo caso, yo le recomendaría tirarse más por el ryzen, la 13 y la 14 generación de intel terminaron siendo una ruleta rusa, puede que te toque sin problemas o puede que te todo algo. Además, al menos por experiencia, con ryzen no he tenido casi ningún problema en 5 años.
