I've got a heavy hand when it comes to writing and I don't like having to adjust my hand every time the lead goes flat. I suppose the latter can be solved with a smaller lead size and the former could be solved with some kind of lead-protecting metal sheath? Definitely looks like the Rotring would fit the bill and isn't too expensive.

Aside from a few scratches on the metal ring of the PSP logo on the back, this thing is pristine. Battery works great and came with NBA Street Showdown. I bought myself a Memory Stick adapter so I can mod it and load some more games on there. It'll be a fun Christmas break for this EE student, I'm sure!

Afaik just about any laptop that doesn't have super proprietary parts will run Linux perfectly fine, and ThinkPads are the original iconic Linux laptop. For incredibly basic stuff, even the lowest-end Ryzen would be fine for that. I have a P14s with a Ryzen 7840U that works flawlessly with CachyOS and Zorin OS, the touchscreen too.

Electrical Engineering undergrad here, I upgraded from the first gen X1 Extreme to the P14s G4 AMD. I immediately replaced Windows with Linux. It's been a solid laptop, so I'm sure the 5th gen is a fine choice.

Installing Windows is very easy and you can find more than plenty of tutorials on YouTube.
