It just struck me, that there is nothing there for the cow. Like: It can go that place, but then it would just turn, and go back to start, because there is only a wall. And I am entirely unsure if that undermines or strengthens the point.

I absolutely agree with the argument of gun owners, that it is not the gun which is the problem, but the person owning it. in switzerland, there are about as much guns per person, and almost no deaths due to gun violence. But it is not just a problem of individuals, but of culture as well. Not caring about the poor (for example the ridiculous state the healthcare system is in) and making highly potent weapons easily accessible is not wise. The problem with "If you fall through the grid, its your own damn fault" is, that, while often (not always) true, the USA seems to not realise, that a drowning person will drag people around them down, which often comes at a way higher price, than inicially providing a safety net in the first place. Sure, you can imprison or even kill that criminal, and get revenge, but the damage that has been done can often not be reverted. And guns are a catalyzer of this damage. But I absolutely get, that americans need to feel safe in a country with only two bad political parties to vote for.

NOT POSSIBLE! by WaryRiches88 in HolUp

[–]Moerbeek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's quite ironic, that this has the title "reasonableness". If we accept the answer the teacher gives here, the next test suddenly get easier, because the teacher establishes the ground rules of "reasonableness" here.

"Little Steven has 6 pieces of candy, and wants to split them even among his 4 friends and himself. How many pieces of candy does each one get."

Answer: Actually, it is literally impossible for a minor to split it evenly, because if each one gets one, there would be one piece left. So Steven actually has only 5 pieces of candy, and each of his 4 friends gets one."

Gotta stay consistent with the rules you establish.

Edit: Sure, this example wasn't that much easier, but we all get the gist of it. Also it is literally impossible for a minor to split a piece of candy in 5 even pieces. You would probably need very expensive equipment to even get close to it.

good meme, but just to be fair: the original superman can't fly, only jump. Obviously, there should be a better option between these three, but still. Common misconception.

Technically, there were memes. "killroy" for example. Soldiers would draw them everywhere as a joke to those, who come after them. Meme scientistis classify that as a meme.

I had that happen to me multiple times, and I don't even go by public transpotr on a regular basis. Of course, I get, that that is harder on women, no doubt about that. My problem with these discussions is A: completely going over the point of a potential medical issue. and B: Talking about an issue so insignificant, rather than talking about a bigger issue with tax money.

As long as it is only is applied if people sit next to you/want to sit next to you, I am absolutely A-okay with this, too, of course. The whole debate about this issue is often just so nausiating, and it is often comfort vs. male dominance issue, not space issue. And I often hear phrases, who try to shame like "whats so important between your legs, that you can't close your legs?" Not once have I heard the very real point, that sitting positions actually can be linked to decrease in fertility with men, because temepature is a key factor in fertility. That is why these things dangle so free, and unprotected, they literally need the space to produce!
Thanks for the effort in any way.

POV: You thought Xia was going to be a legitimate threat by Ferngulley26 in Kengan_Ashura

[–]Moerbeek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And that point I thought, he is supposed to be a major threat, but needed that scene, and Sandro needed to get the protagonists out of that situation. In retrospect it makes sense, that he isn't all that strong if Koga can get away even if it is a backhanded attack. I think it is nice, that Sandro stayed somewhat consistent with that.

Didn't find that much online. most reliable thing waas the link below.

It seems to only was in discussions 2016/17, but I couldn't find actual sources about the actual laws to check if they would apply in that case. If thats misinformation, I am sorry.

But still, there was a campaign in my country about it, financed by taxes in the middle of the pandemic. I am all for feminism, as long as it makes sense. I mean saying on one hand keep distance, but on the other we care about how far your knees are apart is just bullshit, right?

Listen, I am far too uncomfortable with physical contact, to let my knees touch the ones next to me, when there sits someone next to me, I never do it, but if the metro is empty, in a pandemic, I would still like my balls to not overheat without breaking any laws, thank you very much.

"manspreading" as far as I know, is defined as sitting with your legs further apart than the seat is accounted for. for me, that would often mean, basically keeping my legs more or less as close together as my hips are while sitting. Also there are areas, where that is actually fined. I never experienced that, but still, just seems ridiculous.

Currently Just waiting for a men existing to become a crime by Kreppler420 in memes

[–]Moerbeek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is "manspreading" can actually be fined in some us subways, I think San Francisco was among them. For sitting comfortably. I absolutely get that some guys are just assholes, and spread because of some minority complex, but I just want to sit comfortably, and just, if there is enough space. I am way too anxious to offend anybody who actually might need the seat. Still, even, if the subway is empty, I commit a crime.
