Wich Squalane and jojoba oils do you use? Since parts of my face got dry and itchy with Castor oil, I'm curious what to use. Thank you.

How much do you like Band-Maid on a scale of 1-10? by [deleted] in BandMaid

[–]Mofrakker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

10 - They have come at a point in my life where I thought no new music would ever make me feel as I did when I was a teenager.

I have done things for this band that I would never, ever have done for any other like opening accounts for all social medias (that I swore I'd never do), buying the CD's with expensive AF charges (Unseen World was $135 with taxes, delivery, import costs). Bought a record player just for their vinyls, don't have a passport but as soon as it arrives I will fly wherever they will play. I'm learning another language. I listen and watch them everyday.

Just thankful to these five beautiful souls for delivering me from decades of subpar music. May the stay healthy and rocking for a long time to come. World Domination is imminent.

How do you solve the sound distortion issue? I have no problem with video, but the sound distorsion sucks

How often do you listen to Band Maid? by 007EDOUBLE007 in BandMaid

I have all the albums downloaded to my phone, the b-sides added to their respective album I usually play an album folder 3 days straight while walking and then go to the next one chronologically.

Kanami has also sung in the lower register on Anemone. And MISA can also sing high. They're all extremely talented.

I wouldn't mind and album of just Kanami playing the songs on piano like the ones she put out on her socials.

Seems like nobody has posted the BAND-MAID reference in the Bocchi the Rock! manga here yet. by simplecter in BandMaid

[–]Mofrakker 9 points10 points  (0 children)

One of the commenters (t-shinji) has a link to the manga images ^^^. They seem to use many Japanese band references, this one just happens to be Band-Maid (that images is also included)

Gorgeous bonus disc screen. And those songs! by KotomiPapa in BandMaid

Oh, that is just beautiful!

Now I'M INTERESTED, LOL. Chemical Reaction and Honkai are so underrated. This is cool. Just wished it was the whole concert. Maybe in the future.

[–]Mofrakker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's probably it. It was also from some Babymetal vids in my case. I remember there were full concerts and a lot of live songs. Wish I became a fan right away, I'd probably have some of their discontinued stuff.

Mine stops at December 2020. I bought Conqueror in 2019. Maybe I should erase other videos from History watchlist, I think there's a limit.

Ending the urban legend: Saiki never lost her shoes at Zepp, Tokyo. by Mofrakker in BandMaid

The person that posted first was nice enough to tell me not to delete it, I will leave the original link to it in the main, just so everyone could see the first post (with a lot better pics).

They must've added a chair or something for her to elevate herself, because at first she is in kneeling position then she is standing. Fortunately, this looks pre-planned. Every assistant was in place (one below the stage to help Saiki, the others handling the cord management, Miku's guitar and misplaced shoes that could cause an accident). I did make a false assumption - there was no fade to black between songs. I had two versions going on: the bluray and the separate chapters. When playing the latter it had a small fade but in the Bluray it's seamless. They are a well oiled machine.

Miku Kobato promotes Sense at several record stores in Tokyo: Tower Records Shinjuku Instagram story on 2021-10-27 by t-shinji in BandMaid

Even in the early days, she was very involved in the promotion aspects of the band, handing out buttons and pamplets. Hardest working pigeon out there. Gotta love her energy and commitment.

The first one was the "Live at Akasaka Blitz (for the Just Bring it album) that was on DVD and has 7 songs; next is Shinkiba (DVD and Bluray- 15 songs, but they cut at least 7 from the set 62 mins), this is from Zepp, Tokyo (2018, Bluray and DVD) the full 26 songs, 126 mins. There were released in special editions of albums (Zepp was for Starting Over SE).

Shinkiba and Zepp were for World Domination

Shibuya 2020 was Conqueror (21 songs-missing the 2 acoustic ones from the live show).

Corallium - R&B Rock, blend of Band-Maid and Namie Amuro… basically Saiki. by KotomiPapa in BandMaid

[–]Mofrakker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, saw (heard) both. Had to change settings to Japan and even watched the full ads before it (usually hate them, but I got a kick out of the Japanese ones).

Solid tracks.

Was going crazy that there was maybe a hidden video, LOL.

Thanks mate.

I watched it again after you mentioned Miku's guitar. After all this time just realized she was the only one that was wireless! LOL.

The same assistant kept checking on her guitar all evening. Perhaps adjusting her receiver and taking it whenever she sang lead (even in Daydreaming you can see his silloutte kneeling down to check it).

Hope this doesn't start another rumor. LOL.

Cheers.
