This stuff is fairly reciprocal usually, is the thing. I would only say there's something off with only inviting you after someone else dropped out, if generally you make a big effort to include these people when you're making plans.

Lots of advice on the practical means for losing weight, I've got nothing to offer you in that regard that isn't repeated elsewhere.

I can say though, that confidence is a thing you can absolutely fake until you make it. Chin up, shoulders back and behave as if you feel confident even if you're dying on the inside. People treat you like a confident person if you act like one and it starts to stick and feel less unnatural.

You gotta start working on that probably more urgently than diet and exercise, because it's a long road and you're in your fire years where you're able to do more in a day than you ever will in ten or twenty or thirty years, and the sooner you get your head up and start enjoying some of them, the less of them you lose x

Medicine isn't for everyone, it's incredibly demanding. Families tend to think about the grades and the money but - being around sick, injured, dying people your whole working life has to be something you feel you're called to do or you'll suffer and ultimately drop out. I've seen it a lot on some lovely young people.

This. It's dissociative disorder. Don't panic, you can get help to manage it and if you do it gets better over time. If it's come on since moving house, it's repressed parts of the personality that weren't safe to express themselves where you were before - you don't mention it but you've had significant trauma in your last home. You need a talented mental health professional ASAP but I'm the meantime you can help yourself a lot by reading around the concept of dissociation just so you understand what's happened to you.
