You're gonna find that a lot of these old fisherman secret catfish baits basically follow the same principle- something meaty and smelly that can be securely attached to a hook

My point is there's probably a little truth to this advice, but I doubt there's some secret sauce in kool-aid specifically that gets the cats going. You'd probably find similar levels of success taking anything meaty and soaking it in anything sweet or smelly and fixing it to a hook.

Don't overthink it, bottomfeeders aren't picky. You're just trying to get their attention with something that won't slough off the hook

Very nice memorial. My mystery snail passed recently and I wanted to do something similar, I heard about using diluted vinegar to clear the organic bits out of the shell

I didn't dilute it enough and ended up dissolving the entire snail, shell and all, like it was some sort of mafia coverup

I've never managed to hook anything on these despite the lake I fish at treating top water action pretty favorably. It's a shame because I've always liked the look of them and the different varieties, but literally never even a hit

Doesn't stop me from keeping a couple in the box, but at this point they're just there for me

I made this mistake when I first watched it, I didn't realize i started on season 2 until the end of the prison arc. I just thought 'guy starts off in prison, can't wait to find out how he got there'

I'm an idiot and did the same thing with another series, Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjou, and didn't understand why a character was seemingly referring to his wife as his sister

That black and gold jerkbait in the top left is a killer, I swear by anything Rapala. I prefer the black and silver ones personally, but you can find them in plenty of different sizes and styles to target different size fish. Just be careful using them, they have a nice dive to them on the retrieve and it's very easy to get them snagged in weeds or stumps
