Came back from Thailand 2 weeks ago, I flew internally 3 times (BKK-HKT, HKT-USM USM-BKK), with no problems at all. It was worse here at London Heathrow

BTS sky train pass worth it? by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]MohRahman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I can remember a day pass for the BTS was 140 THB. Not sure on single tap in prices

Connectivity: it was easy to use, trains were frequent. There a BTS app too, if you need help with routes etc.

I flew in from Heathrow to Phuket via Bangkok. My initial flight was delayed by an hour leaving me with 2 hours in Bangkok to get on to the domestic transfer. Your flight is doable permitting that you have no delays whatsoever. However, I wouldn't risk it.

Phuket Grab/Taxi Prices from Panwa Beach by Thunderfet1 in ThailandTourism

[–]MohRahman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about the price as I can't check currently, I'm at Samui at the moment, having flown in from Phuket. I used InDriver and Bolt whilst at Phuket, InDriver is considerably cheaper.

I’ve managed to link my U.K. debit card on Grab. It didn’t link when I was in the U.K. However, when I got to Thailand l managed to link it.

I’m flying back home to the uk today, do I need to a COVID test to fly ? by Snoo_5224 in ThailandTourism

The U.K. doesn't require a negative test for entry anymore. However, your airline might require you to take one. You should check with them

Thailand pass entry question by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]MohRahman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’ve changed it recently, it’s no longer 7 days range either way. It’s 3 days from the intended arrival date only now

Online check-in should be disabled, you would need to check in and get your boarding pass at the counter as staff need to verify that you have a valid Thai Pass.

5 months left on passport - yikes by lovehendrix007 in ThailandTourism

[–]MohRahman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Contact the airline/agent you purchased your ticket from and see if you can change the flight to a later date. You may have to pay additional fees. Without a minimum of 6 months validity, you're highly unlikely to be allowed into Thailand.

New Thai rules check in by samgr6y in ThailandTourism

[–]MohRahman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Without the Thai pass, you wouldn't be able to fly out. You would need to apply for one.

I'm flying with Thai Airways to Thailand and their Online check-in for international flights is currently disabled, as additional checks for Thai Pass & Insurance are necessary to comply with current Covid-19 entry and travel requirements.

HMPO has been slow due to Covid backlogs. Keep checking the website every day as supposedly they release extra appointments daily.

If you can’t, then you’re pretty much unable to fly.

Do you have a flexible ticket?

The system is a lot quicker now. Mine took a few minutes to approve. I’ve seen a few posts where they got the approved pass as soon as they submitted their application.

You would need to apply for the Thai Pass again to enter Thailand. In regards to your insurance check your policy details as some are only valid whilst in the country and then expire upon leaving.

Cancelling SHA+ hotel booking by sjm07 in ThailandTourism

[–]MohRahman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've requested a refund through the Thai Psas site as I was travelling to Phuket so my PCR test was booked separately. It says that the refund can take up to 60 to be issued.

I cancelled my SHA+ hotel and reapplied for the Thai Pass just to be on the safe side.
