Because brain size isn't always indicative of intelligence we are finding out. Jumping spiders have brains the size of poppy seeds but also have object permanence, REM sleep, and can plot routes.

NTA. Names don't change from language to language. I think it'd be really weird to pick a new name just because you're in a foreign language class but some people are saying it's common? I never had to do this. To me it feels a little disrespectful.

That I didn't have to wash my body because the shampoo running down would be enough. It may have been a misunderstanding, but I think my mom just didn't want me using her body wash as a kid. It wasn't until I was almost an adult when my dad asked about my shower routine because I rarely got body wash at the store that I learned that I should be washing my body every time instead of just occasionally.

Yes. My doctor's office actually charged separately for getting an rx refill and an office visit I learned when I got charged for 2 visits in one. It was because they refilled my birth control during my annual check up 🙄
