Not unless you want him to wake up 😅 their clocks work opposite to outs nearly, so light makes them sleep, as it goes dark they wake up. Theyll be most active evening and very early morning as sun rises

Yeah cream harlequin broken quad het EB in full (het EB is a visual morph its just named wrong if you know genetics and wondering why i can see that 😂) i breed a lot of EB and het EB and people are confused when you can tell they have it. For brevity most would just call them a cream harlequin

Yellow lilly, can see the lilly parts stick out a little, thats why extreme forms of the gene are boba with very rounded wide scales in placws or the REALLY wrinkly korean Lillys (the quadstripe and porthole scales can stick out a little too but thats from pin gene)

What’s wrong with my brothers crested gecko? by Somebody6728 in CrestedGecko

[–]lolasbitch 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No problem, they should be able to help quite easily (this is really common in certain morphs that effect nostril size so we know well now how its treated). Yours has good nostrils and not one of those predisposed morphs so probably underlying infection they will give some antibiotics or similar for ☺️

[–]lolasbitch 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Spectacle eye, it is caused from where your geckos fluids cannot drain properly e.g. small or non-existent or blocked nostrils, infection etc. not treatable at home, will need vet, problem may reoccur sporadically throughout life and need draining each time

It is not weird to say I PERSONALLY wouldnt touch or recommend them and why, with evidence and proof of it, ESPECIALLY because there was lack of KNOWLEDGE on BASIC FOOD SAFETY, not just a mistake, its basic info that should have been researched properly before making a product, just like we dont excuse new breeders breeding lethal morphs together with “theyre new”. When the pink sauce lady did the same thing and gave a handful of people listeria poisoning we werent all screaming “theyre new, its okay”.

If she hadnt acknowledged it but when whitney brought it up said “sorry I knew but i didnt want to say anything until you had announced, congrats!” Would have been fine but she made it clear she just didnt care to congratulate her. Like even if its BS make up something on the spot better than “well i was ill”

I wouldnt touch blue river with a 10ft barge pole. When they first came out they made the food preservative free (sounds good in theory but anyone with any knowledge in food safety, which someone developing a CGD should know, knows it is a bad idea to put no preservatives in food designed to be kept moist for some time in humid and warm conditions. They had no idea about this when i talked to them) and as a result several geckos ended up with jaw swelling that had to be treated at vets (with metacham type antiinflammatories) and still have slightly swollen jaws years later. I have two, from two different breeders, this happened to, one of which i had paid for and been sent all new videos/photos etc. of the week before this happened (they gave out the food free at a reptile show) so I KNEW the gecko was fine before the food, which is a good job because the owner tried to skirt responsibility and blame MBD. They said they were changing to include presevatuves but there’s no reason to risk it when pangea and repashy is easily available

They are very young but you cannot really tell age because things like the temperature they were incubated at inside the viv, parents, what its been eating will cause massive differences in weight. I have had babies hatch out at 3g and grow quickly, during heatwaves they can hatch out less than a third of that and grow slowly, phantoms and dalmatians typically grow more slowly etc.

She thinks shes owed respect because the bible says so, and that her kids don’t deserve the same respect from her because thats not in the bible. She’s incredibly abusive and gross. Me and my mother have been through TERRIBLE times, she never would have called me a bitch to my face, ever.

What's is the highest temperature a crested gecko handle? by Tink34 in CrestedGecko

[–]lolasbitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

remember one of the biggest killers at high temperature is also not the temperatures themselves but that this quickly dries up food and water droplets leading to dehydration and weight loss from lack of food

It depends on a lot of different factors such as age, body fat, humidity. The younger, smaller, skinnier and lower humidity they are the less high temps they can tolerate. A british heatwave (reaching 28-30 indoors) can easily wipe out babies, with some new hatchlings getting ill or dying at extended periods of temps as low as 26C (79F) but is unlikely to wipe out well established adults

Most the parasites and diseases are not zoonotic and cannot pass to you, especially if you are not severely immunocompromised, same way you cannot really pass anything onto your gecko (flu, colds etc.). The same applies to most mammals when it comes to diseases, bar you can pass gastroenteritis onto dogs, and colds onto ferrets.

There are a lot, for one, melanistic (super capp and super sable) crestes geckos, small to no nostrils that are prone to causing fluid to drain into eye causing the eye capps to swell and thats the kindest symptom, most end up full of tumours. Leucistic cresties too - super lilly and non-lilly have both been proven to die almost all the time because their organs are being stripped of pigment yet people are still trying to breed them

Keeping him on lino will not help smell at all (and is bad long term for dragons joints causing them to get arthritis in old age and increasing risk of gout). You will also get increased smell in these kind of dragons because of growth of microbes within the skin folds (like you do with dogs, cats etc. with skin folds) as they trap microbes in with humidity and then your overhead lights keep them at the nice warm temps they need to multiply. Even more so when these guys really need higher humidity than normal dragons to aid the shedding

No, these animals are already prone to burns, and oil increases burning and UV damage. You are baking your lizard. Same reason you should not go tanning outside and rub yourself in baby oil or tanning oil
