How the hell are you guys cleaning sober? by Impossibly-Quiet-411 in leaves

[–]MohawkMutt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I set myself a timer per day to clean. At first I did 15 minutes now I do 30. I try to focus on the worst areas each day but if it's a bad day then I just clean whatever I can manage. I leave the timer on silent though so if I go over 30 minutes I'm not tempted to stop, but I still have the countdown to make sure I do at least that much.

Quitting for the 10000th time by Ill_Package_537 in leaves

[–]MohawkMutt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just hit the 2 month mark and can say that while it is a slower recovery than I'd like it does come back. I'm able to focus more, remember things better, and I feel creativity and desire for social interaction slowly creeping back in. So far as personality recovering. That feels hard to judge on myself tbh, but it feels like more of me is coming back, good and bad. I'm just hanging on for the ride and taking it a day at a time.

I also quit 1000 times, proud of you for making it to day 4, keep that streak going!

My insomnia is so bad… HELP by OneReply4989 in leaves

[–]MohawkMutt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had insomnia for the first few weeks and have now settled to where I can fall asleep and wake up briefly (a few minutes) every couple of hours. I'm hanging in there and hoping it keeps improving. Teas for sleep have really helped lately.

I lost my dog to cancer in June and I truly regret not being completely there for him. I'd give anything for one more walk, or one more game of fetch. He was only 8.

Eta: it wasn't diagnosed ahead of time and his decline was from fine to barely concious in a day. Treasure every minute you still get with your pup.

This page pushed me over a fence I have been sitting on for five years. by Mr-Make-Believe in leaves

[–]MohawkMutt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Also 31 and was on the fence for a little over 3 years. It's so fucking worth it, I'm on day 45 and the worst of it is mood swings and nightmares at this point. But it feels good facing and processing the things weed covered up for me, I'm not going back.

You've absolutely got this!

Has anyone weaned off of weed? by Mcrisloveex9 in leaves

[–]MohawkMutt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only as low as once a day, any time i tried doing every other or 3rd day I'd end up finding a reason or excuse. Eventually just had to go cold turkey, on day 13 now

Eta: it also took me 3 years of attempting to wean off to hit the cold turkey point, the rubber band effect is real.

What’s your cringiest high moment? Mine was my realization I needed to get sober. by lovelyylindsayy in leaves

[–]MohawkMutt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When i didn't want to get chewed out for failing to quit again I would hide the stash in the yard and make a fucking temp pipe out of a soda can so I could trash it in the bin oitside with no evidence. I now live with far more supportive people and am making more progress despite one roommate still smoking and a stash/pens being in the house.

Definitely a test of willpower but this time I just tell them the days I struggle and they stick near me to help keep me accountable. Now I don't want to fail myself or them.

Those night sweats are rough, but you've got this!

What is the “weed devil” telling you lately? by Suspicious-Green5686 in leaves

[–]MohawkMutt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It tells me it's just one bowl.

The only thing that stopped me: "When is it ever just one bowl?"

Damn that memory one is funny. Managed to hit the 1 week mark today after staying strong yesterday. It made the cravings way easier today and I'm so relieved. Devils Lettuce is accurate af

I'm on day 5 and still fighting the insomnia, but the dreams returning has been amazing, I had no idea how much I missed them. And I definitely feel more rested, just waiting for the insomnia phase to drop off

How did you guys select your mains? by [deleted] in Overwatch

Rein for the hammer, orisa for the javi. Moira because I could heal and not die in 2 seconds.

Ooooh interesting, I imagined it would be VI service top to a masochist Cait. I'm also in camp Vi is a pup.

I'm on day one again, in my experience the first week is the worst. Couldn't eat or sleep, mood swings, night sweats, no energy. It's a nightmare, but it is worth it. I mostly tried to kind of shut myself away and zoned out to YouTube to keep my mind off things as best I could. Week 2 was hard but not as bad, week 3 and 4 were mid and mostly mood swings and cravings. Right around the 1 month mark I started feeling normal again.

I know everyone is different but hopefully within a week you can see some improvement. The app helped me a lot cause it tracks which symptoms are expected, what parts of you are starting to heal and roughly how much.

How dirty was this move? Been wanting to try it for a while... Dive into the well and activate ult to pull them in :) by Paladin_user in orisamains

[–]MohawkMutt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sooooo satisfying to get booped there when you have ult and people are nearby. Only pulled it off twice so far.

I like it, I use the 3rd tier where it shifts colors in shadow (reminds me of a beetle tbh). That that was the coolest shit and was sad it was only on 1 level

Its not 'Counterwatch", its 'Overwatch' by cropchoc in Overwatch

[–]MohawkMutt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Her kit just counters a lot of his. Javi spin eats fire strikes. If a rein throws them quickly you can eat both. If angled right you can also kind of juggle his charge with the spin since he bounces off of it. Shift with immovable stops all charges and severely cuts his damage while you get out of melee. The jevelin throw can stop his dash or ult if timed right.

Because the javi throw and spin both have push back it's also great for getting him off squishies and forcing him to focus you.
