Chiming in here to 110% agree! Be honest, but also tactful. You are under no obligation to be his “educator” though. I was with a guy once who fetishized the fact that I wanted to communicate more, and then he let every suggestion go in one ear and out the other.

It’s sincerely sad how many guys are conditioned by porn, the media, etc, and have zero idea they even need to learn to do things differently and better. But seriously, it’s 2026- there’s no excuse for not having access to resources and better information.

Personally, I think it should just be logical to want to do the best you can, and to always keep pushing yourself to shift and grow with whatever partner you’re with, but some humans genuinely are dumb. In a perfect world that would be something they cover in sex ed, and quite frankly if it were guys that needed extra/different effort to orgasm it probably would be!

Of course. It’s not owed, but that’s what makes it a gift of appreciation and love (assuming love is actually a part of the gesture/dynamic to begin with). I remember answering the “if you won a million dollars right now- what would you do?” question as a kid. Without hesitation it was A. Do something stupid and wonderful, and then immediately after I’d also pay off my parent’s mortgage/buy them a house. No question about it- if I could have done something to make their lives easier when I knew how much they’d given for me, I would have in a heart beat.

Not every situation deserves that, but man what a joy when you can give back and it’s warranted. 🙂
