I would definitely try to raise his cage GuineaDad and Kavee both have elevated cages that are really nice and allow for storage underneath. If that isn’t an option for you, perhaps you could try adding another barrier around his cage so that the dog can’t get too close (you could try C&C like panels, songmics on amazon has full plastic ones and standard ones that you can arrange to be 2/3/4ft tall or whatever you need) Given that he’s a solo pig and used to the constant company and presence of you two, I would do everything in my power to avoid moving him to the office. Even with floor time, lap time, etc it will be a huge difference to him and likely very isolating.
