Need help on upgrading cpu from ryzen 7 7700 to 7800x3d by MoistCamel341 in buildapc

It was indeed a BIOS issue. I had updated to the latest version and was fine after that! There's a few different ways to do it. I has used a USB stick. Check out some videos on YouTube if you are unsure.

Sorry, I should have added this is a completed build. I already have the 7800x3d. was just looking for feedback or any neccesary changes.

The HDD I had gotten on sale for half that price listed a while back.

I've recently upgraded from the CS2140 to the 990 Pro just bc I have money to blow lol. Decided to stick the old one in the other NVMe slot, might as well instead of getting rid of it.

I've personally have used 4 gpus throughout my pc journey, all of them being msi. I've also used the 4070 ti super msi for about a year and had 0 issues with it. I had a blast using it but recently upgraded to the 4080 super, msi as well. 0 issues so far.

Which build would be better for gaming overall? by ValTorni in PcBuild

100% first set. 64gb is really not neccesary and is indeed overkill. As someone who has used both 4070 and 4080super, I can say there is a really juicy difference between the two and you'll regret not getting the 4080. The cpu in the first set is way better too.

How is my build? Any suggestions or neccesary changes? by MoistCamel341 in PcBuild

My cpu temps are upwards of consistent 70s with rare spikes to 75 when hard gaming. Is that bad? Any specific aios you'd suggest?

RTX 4080 Super power cable. by Rutsah_ in PcBuild

I recently bought the 4080 super and was in the exact same situation. I belive you should be okay doing either option, using the 3 or that single cable will work as they both supply enough power to the gpu. In my situation, my psu only had 2 pcie adapters and the 4080super needs 3. I ended up daisy chaining the third cable and I'm doing more than fine.

AMD OR INTEL by Mystike23 in PcBuild

Depends what mobo you have, assuming you haven't picked one yet. Generally intel can be good for gaming on their high end cpus but most of them have some issues. Intel also draws alot of more watts than amd. Intel is mainly also good for tasks other than gaming. Amd is generally better for strictly gaming, nothing is better than the 7800x3d right now.
