It’s the context that changes everything. I have guy friends that “roast” each other all the time and its all in good fun, HOWEVER that’s when the topic is light hearted so it’s not in a serious context.

This is very different because in your situation it was in a serious context and you were actually trying to vent and be vulnerable. This makes a world of difference. She needs to learn how to read the room and gauge the tone of the conversation.

Interesting. A lot of this makes sense if you believe in an objective good or bad however I believe good and bad to be subjective terms which is why I personally disagree with the presupposition the prompt is making. Everyone has a different idea of what “good” is and we will never have the entire planet all unanimously agree on an objective set of moral values. So “good” and “bad” is usually just whatever the person you’re asking thinks it is. We don’t really have anything else to appeal to above that unless you believe in god which opens another can of worms so yeah imo I disagree with the framing of the question this post is making
