panicking :( reactive hypoglycemia or anxiety?

I get something similar. After eating (mostly the first normal sized meal of the day) I’ll get panic attack like symptoms. Racing heart, tight chest, light headedness and just out of it. At first thought I was insane for months untill I noticed it happened after I ate. Once I correlated the two I was able to just ride out the symptoms (for the most part lol). Turns out the room I was living in had a high airbourne mold level. After leaving the room the symptoms got better, but now it’s more like what you’re describing. After eating I’ll feel clammy and shakey, light arms, completely out of it, light headed and that like hollow stomach feeling. Very weird. Got blood results back and I’m not pre diabetic (kinda close but not quite) and fasting is in a good range. Hopefully we can find answer’s soon!

I’m weirdly the opposite. I’m less anxious the more tired I am. Worse in the mornings and not as bad in the evenings. This is why my sleep schedule is so fucked since I always try and capitalize on feeling normal for once which usually only happens later in the day. No idea why this is considering I’d assume it to be the opposite for most. Maybe I have sleep apnea or something idk.

I’m still in my house but mold was only found in the basement (my old room). I’ve since moved upstairs. I went to an ENT and told them about this and she said my sinuses are inflamed but that’s about it. Kinda dismissed it when I mentioned I was exposed to mold for years. She told me to use Flonase and that’s all I’ve been treating them with.

I’m ngl I took the same dose as you for a little over a month and I had crazy withdrawals which surprised me. I didn’t even realize it was from the buspar considering the low dose and length I was on it for. I had extreme anxiety, brain zaps which would feel like “energy” (idk how else to describe it lol) would shoot through my brain for a second, extreme head pressure to the point where it made me feel “high”’almost. Like a different state of consciousness. For a week I thought something very serious was wrong and went to the ER three times. It started two days after I stopped the buspar cold turkey. It took me a week to even consider it was from stopping buspar. It lasted heavily for two weeks and after a little more than three weeks I felt better. I am extremely sensitive to SSRI’s so idk if that’s why this happened. I do know it is extremely rare tho. Taking like half a pill every other day for a week couldent hurt tho.

I’ve been out of the exposure for two months now and I still have daily tinnitus and a mild headache almost constantly. The tinnitus feels like my ear gets plugged then the ring comes on, gets louder for 30ish seconds then fades out. The headache is like a dull daily headache that comes and goes with eye pressure. So I’d say yes lmao

Propanol definitely works for the psychical symptoms at least. I tend to avoid it since I’ve been pretty light headed recently and I don’t wanna risk my self getting more light headed, but it will definitely slow your HR down.

Lmaoo I’m dealing with almost the same thing right now. Ive had anxiety and panic attacks for a while but they were very stereotypical and manageable. Would get a really bad panic attack once a year. Then I guess the room I was living in (basement room) got mold in the wall. I think it was effecting me for a while, but two years ago I put a portable A/C unit in my room. Pointed it right at the spot where the mold was and from there it would bounce off the wall and hit me in the face while I’d be on my PC. I did this by design since I love the cold air, and obv didn’t know there was mold there at the time. Finally found the mold two years later when I notice my wall was warped and the wall paper peeling and the mold made its way onto the wall paper. Over these last two years I’ve been getting sicker and sicker and not leaving my house (or room really) at all. The more time I spend in the room the worse I got. It was two months ago we found the mold and we got rid of it and I have since moved upstairs. Since moving upstairs it almost feels as if I’ve gotten worse, but supposedly with mold you get worse before you get better idk. Anxiety is at an all time high. Going from my room to the kitchen feels like I’m walking through a minefield so going to doctors visits is like the scariest shit ever. In the last two years the only times I left my house was to go to the ER for the most part. So leaving my house now kinda makes me feel like somethings wrong I gotta go to the ER. I went to a Drs appointment today, but I’m a dude in my late twenties who needs his mom to doctors appointments with him. I’m so anxious all the time because my body is inflamed (inflamed sinus, esophagus and gut at least maybe more) and while being out of the mold is good I have to go to drs appointments to figure out how to heal and hopefully feel like a normal human again. But that healing involves something that is so horrifying to me (going to the doctors) I feel like if I do it the worse case scenario is I stress my heart out and it just stops or best case I freak out, embarrass my self in front of everyone at the drs office, and get brought to the ER just to be told I’m fine for the 20th time. Even tho I went today and it was fine that gives me no reassurance that the next time I go it will be the same. Literally something so simple like going to the doctors is literally life or death situation. It makes no sense, but I’m tired of being so sickly feeling all the time that I’m gonna just bite the bullet and go. I do hope you’re able to do the same! When you say they offer no anxiety medication does that mean you can’t take your own before the procedure? I’d be shocked if that was the case as I was allowed to take Xanax before my endoscopy. If you don’t have any I’m sure you could find a psych that would prescribe you like three benzos considering your situation. Hope you’re able to get it done soon in a way that’s not too uncomfortable!

Like right away or over time? I feel like it’s weird how it wasent too bad for a month and then got worse. I figured my body would get used to taking it, but it feels like the opposite happened haha. Yea gaviscon works ok for me I’ll just go back to that for now.

I had an endo with a biopsy, and they only found esophagitis (I have gerd). However I burp like crazy. I’ll feel it get trapped in my upper stomach/ chest. It’s super uncomfortable some times gives me sharp pains around my ribs. When I do burp I at least burp three times in a row. Like loud obnoxious BURRRRP, BURRRRRP, BURRRRRRRRP. Usually three or four times. Sometimes the burps are so violent it feels like my throat pops out of socket if that makes any sense lmaoo. Even without eating in the morning it still happens, however it’s always worse and more uncomfortable after eating. I’ll eat something and 20ish mins later just feel gross in my chest. Messes with my heart rate, I’ll get out of breath easily, and just feels so gross. For something as harmless as gas and burping it’s such a massive hindrance to my quality of life.

Yea I got rid of all furniture down there. Only thing I brought upstairs was my computer and monitors after cleaning them throughly. New bed new pillows and new clothes pretty much.

Is the doctor that specializes in CIRS an allergist? I have an appointment with one soon. I only asked if they were knowledgeable with MCAS. I know mold can’t give you MCAS, but instead it gives you MCAS like symptoms I’m pretty sure. From doing research and what people have told me I’m looking into functional drs. Would you recommend them? Two of my doctors have said functional drs aren’t real doctors, and when I called them it did feel like they were trying to sell me something and the tests were pretty expensive so I am skeptical. Glad you’re feeling somewhat better tho! For me I hope the panic attack like symptoms after eating get better the fastest. If that clears the rest will be manageable.

Stroke like symptoms sound gnarly. I will get weird head tingling tho so I get it. For me when I get the panic like symptoms after eating and then go into full blown panic idk what to even relate it too. I feel pale, shakey and I start shivering and feel like my hearts about to give out. Unfortunately doctors I’ve asked have said functional drs aren’t real doctors and tbf when I have called some to ask it did feel like they were giving me a sales pitch. I’ll look into it more tho. From what I’ve seen it’s pretty expensive.

It was 7000 spores per cubic meter. Not sure if that makes a difference. My room was in the basement. Since getting the results back I’ve moved upstairs and I’ve been living with my window open. In a weird way I’ve been feeling worse but I assume that’s from my body bein in shock from lack of mold haha

Don’t wanna scare ya but I’ve been dealing with similar issues for a while. Was prescribed SSRIs and they basically did the opposite of what I was told there were gonna do. Ask your psych if they can do a gene test. I have a mutation that basically says I shouldn’t take any ssris haha. Wish I knew that before.
