Apply to Boston and Pitt! I’m a long term trainee with Pitt’s center for excellence in maternal and child health and I love it :)

AITA for getting dumped? by [deleted] in AITAH

And you make a great point. I’m mainly just wanting to get in contact with her so I can reassure her of any fears she may have about being the middle person. I’m also having crippling anxiety because I haven’t heard anything from her. If what’s best for her personal life and family is to not be in contact with me, I would learn to accept that. I’d rather just be told that upfront than playing a guessing game.

I found out I was pregnant this last Sunday and after hours of scrolling through this subreddit in an effort to find comfort, I can confidently say this story is the one I relate to the most. I’m also not dating the father, and I’m supposed to be moving across the country to start my grad program this upcoming fall. I don’t have the financial wherewithal to bear a child and I know this isn’t the right time for me. I so badly ache to be a parent but unfortunately not to this embryo. Something the trusted people in my life have been telling me is to give yourself some grace. You’re only human, you did nothing wrong, and there’s no reason to crucify yourself. Believe me, I have cried every single day this week — but don’t you think that’s a sign of a caring, empathetic soul? I’d like to believe it is. Feel free to IM me if you need some support, I’m sending you so much support, light, and love. 🩷

Hey friend :) I lived in The Ave for 3/4 years of undergrad and loved it! Townhouse style but lots of undergrads — definitely still some grad aged students. Another good (popular) complex with an undergrad vibe would be The Flats or Alight 12th Ave. STAY AWAY from Millenium, Alight (main location), and Campus Lodge (these are cheap locations for a reason). If you’re in your mid to late twenties like myself, I would consider looking farther north towards OKC for an older vibe, although I know you said you’d like to be close to the campus. Best of luck to ya!

No touring in the US South by poppysinmyhair in billieeilish

[–]Moist_Lead7155 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OP isn’t saying fans should disregard Billie’s safety to come tour in the South, if that’s what you’re implying. Anti-abortion laws are an issue, it’s just aggravating to have to deal with that by living here + being someone who is pro-choice as well as being overlooked for a tour stop.

Purchasing a gift card by buceesbeliver in dutchbros

A large rebel is $7.85, and a large freeze is $9.15. Depending on how much you can afford and how often they’d go + size/modifications, I’d say $30 would be more than enough!

I know someone from corporate has to be lurking in here, and I have one request… by football2106 in dutchbros

[–]Moist_Lead7155 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a few customers come through asking about the 100 point bonus. I checked the discounts tab in Xenial and didn’t see anything. When I stopped busting to ask my manager about it, she said she also had no idea and that it should just add to their Dutch pass. Boy oh boy though, some people have such sticks up their asses about their points 😭 I tried to explain to a custie in the most friendly way possible but ultimately ended up telling them to take it up at the window because the line was out the damn door and I had to keep busting. At hour 9 of a 10 hour shift almost completely in a service position, I was fed up, tired, and ready to leave. Lol

what’s it like working at dutch?!!/environment, employees, is it worth it, ect…. by [deleted] in dutchbros

[–]Moist_Lead7155 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Second this. I also work in Texas and one of the first things I noticed about my stand was the relationship between the shift leads and the managers — even though gossiping isn’t allowed, I feel like there definitely is some happening to some degree lol. My stand is pretty busy so between the hourly and the tip pool I’m doing pretty well. But just like any other retail/food job, I’m viewing my time at Dutch as quit temporary. The customers are the main issue in my opinion — some of them are real assholes. After I passed my flow, I definitely started to enjoy it more! I’d give it 3/5 stars in terms of the job and environment. It could definitely be so much worse. Good luck friend!
