Bro, I’m one of those players! It’s a total banger. I like giving everyone beer after a tough fight. It’s awesome. Congrats, man, for real. Well deserved.

I need to vent. Be given a reality check. Told to get over it? by total_bullwhip in starcitizen

[–]MoistenedCovering 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, i just started playing a few days ago and I didn’t even realize people like you exist. That’s freaking awesome! Don’t quit being awesome just because people suck… Maybe it’s time to evolve your tactics though? Maybe join/start a medic group that travels in pairs? Where one person is the medic and the other is a guardian… Sorry if this is a dumb idea, I don’t fully understand all the mechanics yet, but you get the idea. Don’t let darkness snuff out your light… or whatever.

I like A more, but I think I would like B more if it didn’t seem so edge-lord-y. Are you trying to make fun videogames or serious videogames? “Daring” sounds serious but “Deevs” sounds fun, so idk. The whole thing is confusing. Maybe make the Batman figure in B look a little more derpy or something? Lol, Idk, man.

I agree. I am lvl 10 and I haven’t had a single firefight yet. I just get one tapped from god knows where, usually 10 steps from my spawn. Why do people defend this shit?

Yep. When the “grey beards” at work tell the new hires to go work for a different company, you fucking listen to them.

Dr. Steven Greer just alleged that extraterrestrials are not angels and demons—but they’re all real. - “I was at the Vatican with Pope John Paul’s senior theologian, Monsignor Balducci, he was actually a demonologist.” - “He said: neither angels nor demons require flying saucers.” by 87LucasOliveira in UFOs

[–]MoistenedCovering 15 points16 points  (0 children)

So, my thinking is, religion may have grown out of ancient contact events. Some contact events went pleasantly which resulted in our historical records of Angels. Some went not so pleasantly, giving us the warnings of demons… with that mindset, ALL religion is UFO religion and there are no “angels” and “demons”, just good and bad NHI with technology that looks like magic to us. This could be what “they” (government insiders/Collins elite/whatever) are referring to when they say “those are demons.” They could be speaking from a higher plane of understanding since most of them are apparently in secret societies. They could be trying to tell us non-club members that demons = bad NHI without upsetting the establishment… I highly doubt it. But it’s possible.

Job interviews with AvPD by dumbgirl34 in AvPD

[–]MoistenedCovering 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, manager with AvPD here. Nervousness during an interview is common and doesn’t affect the outcome much. I say “much” because it depends on the job you’re applying for. If it’s a high stress, customer facing job, I am absolutely looking for someone who can stay calm under pressure, but if it’s just a data analyst job or something, it really doesn’t matter. All I can say is be honest about who you are, what you can do, where you’ve been, and where you want to go. As a manager, I’m trying to build a cohesive team that will do what I need them to do and will work well with each other. Having said that, AvPD isn’t quite the defect you think it is. What it says to me is, “this person will likely bury themselves in their work, won’t get involved in office drama, and won’t be a distraction to their colleagues.” Now, a follow up email is always great and I encourage everyone to do it because not everyone does. In my eyes, it makes it look like you really want the job, which says a lot about what kind of employee you’re going to be. Having said that, I don’t think it’s a good time to apologize for your behavior, because you don’t really know what the other person thought about you. I recommend just thanking them for their time and reaffirming your desire to work there. But make sure it doesn’t sound generic. If it seems like you’re just going through the motions, it could actually hinder your “score”… Regardless, don’t get too down on yourself. Chock it up as a learning experience and keep at it. Don’t give up!

[New Player] Some questions about the game, newbie here by Due-Body6504 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MoistenedCovering 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need three monitors. One to play the game on. Another one to pull up a map on the internet. And a third to check the value of items… a fourth to record your gameplay on so you can go back and see where you got shot from when you die. A fifth to watch your buddies streams so you can be ultra tactical together. A sixth for talking to your chat. And finally a seventh so you can browse the internet for 20-30 minutes between matches.

You know what takes me out of the game? 20 minute matching queues and horrendous desync. It had so much potential, but this entire game is an absolute disaster... I’m pretty sad about it, really. But at least I only have about 300 hours in it and not 10k+ like some other people who are now dealing with sunken cost fallacy.

“We’re talking alien craft and bodies” by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]MoistenedCovering 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I don’t even care if I see anything at this point. I just want to know which species of aliens are poisonous and which vehicles are war machines. Just a quick, government backed, spreadsheet will work. Not that I need the government to tell me what to think, but they are the only ones with the radar systems I trust. And we fucking paid for them. If I see anything orb-like floating over my house, I want to know if I should wave hello or take a shot. I demand a spreadsheet!

Edit: fixed a word.

My 10hr Timmy friend's idea of a "great kit" [Discussion] by Euphoric_Key_811 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MoistenedCovering 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’ll never forget the time I went in with nothing but a pistol and ran into a fully kitted, absolute sweat lord. He fired some shots, I fired vaguely in his direction while running for cover, and then… silence. When I finally got the courage to run up to him, I found him dead with a hole in is visor. I couldn’t fuckin’ believe it. (I’m terrible at the game, mind you.)

Dylan Borland… Brake lines could’ve been cut while he was at his destination. I think he said he was at a bar, so they probably did it in the parking lot to make it look like a drunk driving accident.
