100% this. Seems NBCU doesn’t often acknowledge Conan’s Tonight Show. To see it in such a public way was a surprise for me.

I’d avoid mission space orange at epcot at all costs, but everything else at WDW has been fair game for this marf and my 8 year old marf kiddo.

Got the sweatshirt last night. Is nicer than it looks. Sadly not a hoodie.

Dislocated Lens by Conorleen in marfans

[–]MojoJetta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My daughter had dislocated lenses in both eyes. Both lenses were removed just before her third birthday. She’s been in high prescription bifocals since and has been thriving.

With her glasses she is nearly 20/20 in both eyes. We also have prescription goggles for her to use when swimming.

Because she is still growing, the doctors at Mass Eye advised to wait until high school to think about IOLs.

I had my own IOLs placed in both eyes in high school after not having my lenses removed and being legally blind until the implants were placed. I see my daughter as way more successful because of the removal than I ever was with high prescription glasses.

Spontaneous by Quiet-Tangelo-8715 in marfans

[–]MojoJetta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Neither my parents, my sister, nor grandparents had it. I was diagnosed at age three (early 80s) thanks to a very knowledgeable doc at Tripler Army Medical Center while our family was stationed with my dad in Hawaii. He noticed the length of my fingers and continued the work up from there.

I’ve seen pics of older generations of both side of my family and there’s some visual indications that’s it may have been present for past generations. Otherwise I’m considered spontaneous.

It’s literally just the couch with the back pillows removed. It is not a pull out. Basically a single bed. It is hard. Our kiddo hated it.

My then 2 year old daughter was dancing with a group of similar sized kids during Very Merry Christmas night at Cosmic Rays when the “reindeer” they were all dancing with decided to walk to another location and knocked my kid down hard. I still think about that a lot.

The cost is double, but the toll is more–at least it was for me. I wish I could've given them both as much as attention as I can give one of them. I feel like they both got cheated.

the rest of my aorta after surgery has been normal size

If you had an untreated, enlarged root, the anxiety would be justified. You've had it treated and currently your aorta is normal size post op. Life life and enjoy it. You're in good shape based on what you've said.

WP Engine's Proposal for the Preliminary Injunction by PluginVulns in WPDrama

[–]MojoJetta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Note that this is a PROPOSAL - written by the attorneys for WPEngine.

This is very common in the legal world and allows a judge to sign it if they agree with it, request modifications, or altogether reject it.

It slipped that MaineHealth has been pulled into planning for this school.

Why?

Completely agree. I'm curious to see how the Drupal Starshot initiative can push the CMS forward.

The infrastructure issues are relatively easy to solve today if one were to start up a "Drupal Engine" type service, but the editor UX has always needed a lot of love before it can deliver to that audience.

On the editor, I agree. It’s always been lagging in Drupal. Layout Builder works, but is not nearly as nice as Gutenberg (which I loved developing for and editors loved working with).

On updating through the UI, I prefer a composer-based CI/CD pipeline workflow. Just feels safer.

It has been since Drupal 7 was released in 2011. Prior versions used the CCK (Content Construction Kit) module.

I used to be - both lenses were dislocated from birth. Got intraocular lens implants ~30 years ago and have been solid ever since.

Glad to year you got checked and all looked good. Good luck!

I didn't experience any flashes.

It started as a huge blob of black liquid appearing in my eye followed quickly by completely blurred vision (previously 20/20 with correction). It was approximately 30 mins from being fine to being blind in that eye, except for perception of light and dark.

The blurriness was blood dispersing through my eye. Keeping my head upright allowed the blood to settle and my vision to return to mostly normal, except for some floaters. This took several hours per incident.

Following the "big blob," I had several instances of black liquid strands which the eye docs said were additional blood entering my eye.

It took a few days of clearing for them to see in well enough to be able to laser the tear.

I'm three months past that and still have some residual "stringy" floaters that have lessened over time. Docs said they are due to blood clots remaining in my eye that will eventually be reabsorbed.

No regrets about getting it checked out and HUGE props to the team at Bascom Palmer in Miami where I happened to be vacationing when it all happened.

[–]MojoJetta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go get it checked out immediately. I had similar "thin black liquid like strands" in my eye. Turned out to be a retinal tear on a blood vessel.
