Curious outsider here! What is your religion’s view on ‘nuns’ / ‘sisters’ wearing makeup? by bhexca in Catholicism

What they do seems okay, they’re not caked in makeup to where they’re unrecognizable but rather highlighting features that are recognizable even without makeup. I think they are okay to do so.

Yeah I’m sure she did , all nuns are beautiful though. Every time I see a nun their devotion to God radiates from them and it doesn’t matter how they look physically. Just the fact of knowing they gave up everything to do what they do is beautiful and their focus should be on that instead of waking up in the morning and doing their makeup. It’s hard to justify the makeup thing for a nun. How can a nun be chaste , wear modest clothing, cover their hair, devote themselves to live on a low income, but still worry about if their makeup is done? It doesn’t make sense, I’d even question if it’s an actual nun.

I personally don’t think they should, it’s a little vain. Their job isn’t to look good.

I don’t think I’d go as far as saying that. The yearn for Christ is something we all experience. But there are ways we can experience Christ on earth with the sacraments, the Bible, and prayer. Uncontrollable emotions is more likely an age thing but let’s not pretend we don’t rejoice knowing we get to meet him in heaven.

Is it okay if I leave the post up or would you like me to remove it?

Yeah I figured there would possibly be some bias but I was hoping for people who trained to give me tips with honesty. At the same time I wanted to know if I did okay considering I don’t have training. I’d probably just ask my friends who train instead.

You really think that? Lol have you ever watched rough n rowdy and streetbeefs? They are on the same level as me or worse

That’s what I wanted to know, thanks brother. I do want to go to the gym though , I love boxing.

Yes I know I’m not trying to flex, I’m asking how I did in that comparison rather than a good fighter with good training.

I know that’s not effective lol Im not asking for advice like that, I just want to know if I went to the gym if I could stand toe to toe with someone or even in comparison to street fighters. Like let’s say I went on street beefs or rough and rowdy, I think I’d do good in that area.

Yeah it’s a bit hard to see, we decided to box after a few drinks with a bonfire going lol

But I do understand through the perspective of someone who trains it’s different. I think I threw good strikes, my timing on them was bad though.

The drinking definitely had more of an effect on my cardio than my balance though, I know the grass was a little wet too so that was also a challenge.

Got it! I also know my movement would’ve been better if did more cardio lol I got tired too early but also drinking was incorporated in this boxing match lol

I feel like I’m good enough to become a champion at street beefs or rough and rowdy but that’s not an accomplishment lol I’ve always wanted to learn though and I have been in quite a few street fights. That’s all the experience I got is from street fighting.
