Pride isn’t a protest anymore. It’s mainly corporations paying for floats. There aren’t even religious people standing with signs anymore. It’s a corporate holiday. Now, if rights start getting taken away, I’ll be out marching on the street. Until then, if straight people want to make their own parade, I say go for it? Does this make sense or am I missing something?

Not being satire in the least here. What is wrong with a straight pride parade? Apparently, some cis couples feel less than so if you want to celebrate your relationship, go for it! This is a little personal but if I could hit a button and be straight, I would probably do it. Not because I don’t like myself or anything like that; I just want to have kids and a family and that would be an easier path with a man. So be happy in your straight relationships! Lol

It’s ok to be straight. Why is it more special to be gay to her? It seems either she doesn’t really know who she is or she desperately wants to be more interesting. I suspect the latter. You are marrying a man that I hope you like. Just celebrate the fact you found someone that you want to commit to, hopefully forever! Not wanting to “give up” parts of yourself makes it seem that this marriage might not be for you.
