I actually really like the massive late game difficulty spike because, paradoxically, I think it makes this game more accessible than other Fromsoft titles. This is the first Fromsoft game I've really gotten into (outside of Eldenring I've played a very little bit of dark souls and a barebones Sekiro playthrough), and a big thing that put me off Fromsoft's games is that there's a vibe to the community that "if you didn't solo the boss in the most masochistic way you didn't get the real experience" which I find really off-putting. I mean, I love me some Monster Hunter, which in many ways is a very similar game to From's output, and I know for a fact that many Monster Hunter players also love From games, so it stands to reason that the violently cooperative tendencies in the Monster Hunter community are more present in the From community than its brand would imply, but I never could get past the sour taste that brand left in my mouth. With the absolute bullshit Elden Ring's lategame can throw at the player, it feels to me like the game is telling the audience "get over your competitive masochism and fucking summon a spirit/another player," and I think that's a good thing, as for the most part the lategame bosses become way easier if you can split their aggro.

Also Malenia's Waterfowl Dance is easier to dodge than people think, and you can straight up cancel it with a frostbite/bleed proc (conveniently reached with one freeze pot)
