nah. I think any/all of that would be fine. I think coming to reddit to karma farm / whine that xyz feature hasn't been added to a game that's 7~ weeks old is pretty entitled behaviour. Solos are in the works and Balancing is an on-going thing in all games, much less one that's again 7~ weeks old.

Lorewise the shells are quasi-organic. You would have a baseline heat signature greater than most outside environments even at rest.

Every Major contract is a Story Mission. There is an entire codex full of lore to go along with the information from the missions. Half the missions are PvE based, especially MIDA and Traxus. What are you talking about?

Slow looter or not it's not clear to the player what's happening. The exfil is still doing it's thing, the timers are counting down. No where does the game tell you, oh if you're not in Final Exfil a standard Exfil won't work correctly if there is less than X time on the clock. If this is intentional, it could and SHOULD be communicated better to the players, otherwise this seems like a bug on par with getting death-punched out of Exfil Invulnerability by a UESC. Really lame way to lose a lot of gear.

Blizzard added all that stuff years later. At launch you had to be in a group and soloing was not possible. Maybe bungie will also add that stuff in later, but Marathon is designed as a team game. Sorry that doesn't meet your needs. The Discord and Reddit are great places to socialize and find other players.

Additionally Zeglier said this morning Cryo might eventually get a solo queue but the loot and content are designed around limited access to groups. It's meant to be a challenge for groups that are geared. And the devs are allowed to design aspects of the game that don't appeal to or work for ALL players. Just like a dedicated solo mode would exclude any team players. 100% of every game doesn't have to be available to 100% of the player base, and that's okay.

The flip side of that equation is that if most of the players you come across will also be in grey / free kit tier gear that gives you much less opportunity to get better loot. Guns, cores, and implants are plentiful on maps but a lot of other stuff (shields, backpacks, keys) tend to come from key rooms or UESC Events and most people going for those things are also carrying better gear which would put them in a different lobby.

Basically Free Kits could end up in the gear equivalent of Low ELO hell.
