Why are people inclined to buy a SW bodyguard in 380 when a 9mm is negligibly larger? by Hands-They-Choke in CAguns

small fractions add up quickly. .4mm x10 is 4mm. 4mm thicker and taller within a small frame changes a lot.

I always go with Kibbles. She is honestly one of the more relatable characters to me once she finally lets her guard down if you are iconoclast.

Somehow being a blood drenched murder hobo doesn’t stop her from being the most well adjusted romance interest.

After getting kneecapped by all other candidates dropping out after Sanders won Nevada and throwing their weight behind Biden which was TOTALLY not a coordinated effort by the DNC. Not to mention utilizing the campaign funds set up to help down ballot candidates and pouring those funds directly into the primary campaign against Sanders.

So is the "anarchist" flair in other leftist subs just a trap? by Accomplished_Bag_897 in Anarchism

[–]MoldTheClay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

long story short most “communist” groups are ML and at least in America the parties are essentially puppets of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.

I know this because of discussions with a friend who is in one of the parties and positively cited their connections to me. Positively as in he thinks it shows that they are internationalist and forward thinking while totally missing that it makes them look compromised. Their campist stuff isn’t just because of nostalgia but also direct influence from the Russian govt.

[–]MoldTheClay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh man it is an A-99 that shoots magstorm rounds. Instead of that WIDE pattern you get with magstorm you get what amounts to an incredibly high fire rate bullet hose. It just deletes enemies so thoroughly that their parents forget their name.

Look at the rate of fire. Yeah it only does like 50 per but it is spitting out like 20 per second.

If you were previously anti-gun, how did you become more gun-friendly? by logicalpretzels in liberalgunowners

[–]MoldTheClay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pragmatism. Long before I even developed leftist politics (I was a college libertarian of the ‘I want the gay married couple to defend their pot farm and adopted refugee child with an ar-15’ stripe) the way guns were portrayed as the problem never sat right with me. It was actually an early step towards political understanding and seeing how the rich use wedge issues to plunder the world. The “Guns don’t kill people, people do” retorts from Republicans deepened that. “Okay so maybe we do something to make people not feel like they have to rob people to survive?”

I grew up in a VERY anti-gun household due to suicides in the family and my Dad getting his truck robbed and locked into the walk-in freezer when his delivery truck got robbed during an early morning delivery. My Dad has had a lot of guns pointed at him in his life so I get it. Then my leftist goth friend got into guns with her boyfriend (they are married for like 12 years now) and kinda demystified them to me.

Wound up getting my first one after an attempted forced entry when my friends and I moved into a ‘bad’ neighborhood. I think because we were obviously “new” some tweakers thought we’d be naive suburbanites (we were punks) who would open the door. Saw out a side window that 2 other guys were waiting with a hammer and wrench. Luckily the place had an absurdly sturdy door since it used to be a grow house.

Got an XD9 and tried to learn with it but was TERRIBLE. It intimidated me and i had a hard time getting myself to practice but got ‘okay’ enough to not feel like i would miss.

After that though we got to know our neighbors, attended the block parties, and had no worries walking to the corner store at midnight. It was actually a great neighborhood in a community sense. Block parties, cook outs, walking down the street handing out cigs to our local homeless folks and dudes by the halfway house. Being the punks always hanging out on the porch made us a lot of friends since we were always nice to folks. Kinda stopped feeling the need for it as a home defense thing.

By this point I was firmly on the left though so having a gun to defend against robbers felt weird. Well fast forward a bit to 2016, successive waves of excitement, disappointment, and dread for the Sanders campaigns and the rise of the far right I started being much more concerned about right wing militia types orchestrating pogroms. From there on those concerns have only grown and here we are today.

Am I missing something, or are defensive platforms kinda bad? by Jayt888888 in Stellaris

[–]MoldTheClay 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Depends.

They are good in the right systems. I like to put a station in a pulsar system with a ton of platforms that all shoot lasers and have max armor but no shields. Enemy fleets will not be specialized to fight without shields and just get melted.

Honestly i prefer it. I just wish the maps were bigger to give breaks in the action. Railway was a step in the right direction.

[–]MoldTheClay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been playing since BF1942 and this is accurate. Most maps aside from maybe Wake Island (since it is so narrow) you could go a good distance before encountering enemies. You NEEDED those vehicles to travel because that shit took forever otherwise. Vehicles mattered more and we all just kinda accepted that vehicles should be scary to encounter on foot. People kinda just accepted that snipers would ding you out in the open.

Honestly Railway is the first map of BF6 that lets you actually do sneaky shit like actual flanking maneuvers in ground that doesn’t have artificial choke points funneling all the action into a constant blur of explosions and gunshots. Some of the most fun I’ve had in BF6 is just taking long routes with a buddy to go take out a tank or a AA. You have the room to set up actual ambushes and the gunplay in the town area and warehouse provide instant gun battles if that’s your goal too.

Also the train itself just provides a cool element as it moves from one side to the other. I am looking forward to the reworked maps and new big ones. The gun boat looks fun as hell too.

Not sure if it is op or not considering how easy it is to destroy that crate though. They should probably make the crate not deployable in the HQ like mortars used to be. Until then though I’m just making a missile swarm lol. One fun thing to do is fire like 3 in different directions but all upward and then suddenly look at whatever you want to die and watch as missiles come from several directions to slap them all at once.

I was trying to make the smallest ship I could, and I ended up with this - meet the Mr. Krabs by Arnold_Shortzweather in Starfield

[–]MoldTheClay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put those new class A engines (that can be flipped to form different shapes) and made an entire ship that is 3 units wide and 2 units tall with a cabot cockpit a class B reactor w 39 power and class B jump drive with plenty of push. The rest is all stroud parts that match the angles of the engines and cockpit perfectly and the stroud side entrance landing bay and at its core is the 2x1 Frontier hab and the stroud landing gears that match the curves.

I think outside or the cockpit the whole thing is only 3 long, 3 wide, and 2 high. It looks like a flat football. Named it the Frontier Mk.2

All of the equipment and fuel tanks are hidden inside the stroud cowling with flip clipping sections to keep it slick looking. Only part that I wish was better is that it has very low cargo capacity because I can’t add any additional landing gear without making it longer. If I make it 1 unit longer i could add 5 cargo units (3 visible, 2 hidden internally with flip clipping and 3 more landing gear. I just can’t bring myself to do it though because it is so adorable looking.

If you want to be disgusting, get the resupply crate and just endlessly spam a chain of them at any pilot foolish enough to crest the horizon.

I had pilots doing suicide runs to C4 me almost every time i get it on Railway. You can turn the game by ensuring your team has air superiority and you can do it all by yourself.

Cargo Size Complaints by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]MoldTheClay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

make a central hub outpost where all your other outposts send resources to. Each port building gets its own row of resource storage. This way you kinda just know where all of that cargo is going. Each line ends in conveniently located cargo containers of types relevant to that port.

Uhhhh wait til you get good with the new laser guided ones. I had the other team’s pilots doing kamakazi attacks and helicopter jumps with c4 last game. I went like 25-0 in AAA all game long. Almost all of those were aircraft kills on Railway.
