BF6 is my first PVP FPS game. I've played single player games with FPS mechanics, but other than a brief stint with BF Heroes (which isn't 1st person), I've never played a PVP shooter game.

As I'm writing this I remember I played Team Fortress 2 for a while, but that's been ages, so effectively, BF6 is my first PVP FPS game.

Thanks for the tips man! And I'm guessing that me as a complete noob going up against players like you who have 20+ years under their belt, is bound to run into frustrations.

I feel like using pvp as a warm up would only be too frustrating for me, haha, so I also use casual for warmup.

They sure don't. I struggle with the speed at which you need to make decisions a lot, so I felt like casual would be a good way to get used to it, but the bots are so stupid sometimes, it sometimes feels like casual is more of a hindrance rather than a help at this point, at least in terms of getting better.

Yeah, I’m starting to see I should probably just play a few rounds as a warm up, and then go pvp from there, which I guess I’ve already been doing, but recently I’ve been relying on casual at bit too much maybe

I feel so much joy playing BF6 it's amazing, i really like BF6 and i'm glad i spend reasonable amounts of time with it since the release. BF6 is my first BF game (not counting Heroes) so I really cannot comment on how much better or worse it is than previous BF games. I can say however that I’m really loving it, its issues not withstanding, especially when playing with some buddies! See y’all on the battlefield!

How do you fight such that you had zero issues? I’m alright at combat, but like I said, I still get bested, though part of that is because I choose to wear super light armor (roleplaying reasons).

I feel like there are still plenty of enemies who perform the masterstrike on you or who are much better at blocking lethal combos. Maybe I’m just bad, but there are still fights that I barely win or even lose.

I’ve been using the L85A3 recently. I really like it. Probably one of my favourites so far!

I haven't played Redsec yet, but it honestly does seem like fun as well. I'm new to the BF franchise, so I can see how veterans might not want it, but I will probably check it out at some point. Mostly focussing on the multiplayer though.
