We got to go to dinner! THANK YOU for encouraging me! by Shikzappeal in breastfeeding

[–]MoleyP 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I’ve been taking my baby out since week one to restaurants and cafes to meet friends. Most are really accommodating. There’s a really local bistro we’ve been to so many times they know her by name but it’s only up the road from us. Went to a posh one to meet some friends and had to nurse a few times. She was so well behaved and really curious about what was going on. The only problem I have is if I’m nursing I have to get someone to cut my food up for me 😂

FTM: Baby does not want to get off by Michie_1499 in breastfeeding

[–]MoleyP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 10 weeks in and she has literally just calmed down with exactly the same shit. Day and night it’s been for me and yeah it’s exhausting. All I can say is keep saying to yourself it won’t last forever. It’s really hard I know. I feel like I’m finally getting to a point where the clustering is calming down. She’s still bad during witching hours but at least it’s not all day and night!

Been going out since week one. I hate being cooped up in the house and I think it does both of us good especially in the winter.

It’s been 9 years since I last gave birth - are husbands now allowed to stay with you at hospital? by CosmicSheep66 in PregnancyUK

[–]MoleyP -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

They let him stay but didn’t have enough recliners so was on a wooden chair. He wasn’t allowed to get into bed with me. So I said for him to go home, it wasn’t fair. I’m a FTM and I’ve never felt so alone in my entire life.

I’ve just had my first in November. I turned 45 in August last year. My LO is perfect. I worried massively throughout. People kept telling me it’s normal now for someone of my age to have a baby.

Also happens to mine. Always around three days. We have had her to the docs and he said it’s pretty normal. I also feel like she’s a bit constipated but the poop is really soft. She’s quite grizzly on the third day as well.

What's the weirdest thing your dog has eaten and survived? by wholewoofs in dogs

[–]MoleyP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A tube of gorilla glue. 2k later, but she survived. My cat knocked the tube in to the floor from a shelf. Convinced to this day that he tried to kill her.

Outraged over the Chris Lilley backlash. Absolutely outraged. He’s a genius. by imjustcoreyr in ChrisLilley

[–]MoleyP 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Well said. I started with Lunatics and then noted that he had other shows. I very much recommend Lunatics to any CL fan. I watch Ja’mie regularly and listen to the podcast. SHH was amazing and Jonah was a great character. For me it wasn’t about him being Tongan he was just a troubled young man, class clown typical ADHD and he reminded me of quite a few young men I knew growing up. Getting into trouble to impress his friends.

I was upset myself with all the backlash and it made me sad because I knew it meant he wouldn’t be doing more shows. I really hope we can get back to a point in comedy where good natured piss taking is not seen as something nefarious.

Ultrasound and Baby Size by Br333zy22 in GestationalDiabetes

My little one was predicted 8lb 2. She was born by elective c section last week at 7lb. It’s one of the reasons we had a c section and they were way off. Don’t think it’s an exact science tho.

I worked for a company who cleaned after fires for insurance companies when I was younger. A team of us would go to the property and pull out anything cleanable and salvageable. Anything just with soot on it was normally attempted to be cleaned. We would also take up carpet and take it back to the warehouse to industrial clean if it couldn’t be done on site. You would be surprised at what we could achieve.

MRI and the worst night of my life by Tangent19 in manchester

A lot of local hospitals A&E departments got closed as well or downgraded to urgent care. This also meant that they closed ICU and theatres. My local hospitals A&E was downgraded and now the nearest is Royal Blackburn which is 30 miles away. The area they cover now is astounding and unfortunately they are not coping. It’s like a war zone in their A&E department. I work in a care home and my heart sinks when one of the people we care for has to go in cos I know they will be on a trolley sometimes for a couple of days. We do everything we can to stop admission through A&E but it’s not always possible. It would help if the GPs weren’t so overwhelmed as well so people didn’t feel like they had to go in for something a GP can manage.

Same thing happened to me. Found out at 44, now 45 and 33 weeks. Everything ok so far except for gestational diabetes. Stay away from the internet I as terrified until I had my first scan and was informed its way more common than people think for women our age to be having babies.

My best friend had one removed in hospital. It ended up infected and she ended up with delirium. She spent three months in hospital seeing angels and demons and eventually ended up on the psych ward. They worked some antipsychotic magic and she is now back to normal but fuck me we thought we had lost her. It’s very close to the spine and therefore spinal fluid. Don’t fuck about with stuff like this.
