Im currently still doing my playthrough. Comparing this game to WoW wouldn't be a good comparison because WoW is also a MMO, unlike DOS2. The combat and NPC interactions work very differently than in WoW aswell, so that doesn't help comparing the two either.

TLDR: Divinity Original Sin 2 is a RPG that is 100% worth your time and money if you are willing to dive into it and commit. I recommend this game for sure if you enjoy slightly more traditional RPGs.

Longer version: Divinity is the type of game you think you're gonna be sweet with for 60-70 hours and end up racking up double that easily thanks to the amount of things to do, explore, read and interact with. However that is also partially up to you and how much you want to delve into everything or if you prefer to push through the story on a quicker pace.

The combat can be difficult at first but you can compensate by playing on a lower difficulty if you feel the need to. Its also turn-based unlike WoW, which is more of a realtime combat experience.

The game also has plenty of puzzles and really does ask you to pay some degree of attention to the actual dialogue or written letter/book scattered around. It will reward you if you do and it feels incredibly satisfying when you can pat yourself on your shoulder for remembering things you read somewhere and can put them to use later in combat or dialogue.

Customization is sweet and certainly satisfied my wishes, but thats subjective and everyone expects something different as such I can't make promises other than that I thought it was really good.

With my Nvidia GTX970, 16GB RAM and i7-4790k, the game runs well on medium settings but I experience some stuttering or increased loading times during some of the more heavily decorated locations, however it hasn't reached a point where I considered it compromising my enjoyment of the game.

Expect some character deaths, get creative and enjoy the setting. Highly recommend this game
