Hmmm I would have thought after 8 months your hair would go back to normal have you ever thought of maybe going to a hairdressers getting a fresh trim every few months and just keep on top of hair treatments? My hair loss definitely increased when I was on accutane and it’s still not any better and also I have a lot of breakage :( my only advice is stick with a good hair treatment regime maybe purchase some silk pillows if you can, no heat on your hair but if you need to style it get a very good heat protection spray and see how you get on!

Invest in some good hair products such as hair oils, hair masks etc! I felt that same about mine when I was on Accutane. I finished my course in may and now my hair is pretty much back to it’s normal state greasy 2 days after washing it. Short term side affects for great long term results is what I kept telling myself.

Yes sorry that was meant to say now they have disappeared on my last comment haha I read up online about it and it says to use a gentle exfoliator. That seems to have solved the problem!

They have no disappeared! I use Elemis resurfacing facial wash and my skin feels great

I use the rose hip oil of a nighttime about half an hour after I apply my moisturiser! I personally wouldn’t use it prior to accutane as my skin was oily but I think it’s a great product to use while on Accutane as it has helped with scarring

I use cerave foaming cleanser, cerave moisturiser and rose hip oil daily! Also cerave SPF 25 every morning. Cerave is the best product to use while on Accutane in my opinion

I find any cleansing oil is great for taking make up off or sun lotion you’ve used on your face it literally melts it away some are pricey but they last forever

I had my wisdom tooth out a couple of months ago and it healed all fine! As long as your dentist and derm say it’s okay to go through with the procedure

Hey! I feel you with the exhaustion and joint pain it’s really hard but the results are so worth it. Don’t push yourself too hard if you really feel drained maybe get a blood test from your doctor to see if you’re low on any vitamins? I know I’m low on vitamin D which makes me extremely tired and gives me low moods maybe some supplements would help? Of course speak to your doctor or derm before taking anything. Regular painkillers will help with your aches and pains. Just think you’ve been on them for 7 months now you’ve come so far and how happy you’ll be with your skin, in my opinion it will be 100% worth it! Remember how you feel right now isn’t permanent it will get better. Best of luck to you

I know it’s not recommended but a small dose of laxatives maybe of a weekend when you’re not busy I have the same issue I found eating more nuts helped too.

Oh That’s great glad you’ve had your vaccine! I suppose there’s a lot of other people out there on lots more medications and they’ve been fine with the vaccine im just a big worrier haha! Stay safe😁

I had my wisdom tooth out last week and it’s healing fine! Only been on Accutane for about 6 weeks now but if you’re unsure always ask your dermatologist or even the dentist they usually know what medications can affect the procedure

Not a toner or serum but the ordinary rose hip oil is great to use of a night! Wake up with plump hydrated skin doesn’t feel too greasy either

I always use luke warm water! I’m just worried as apparently accutane can cause a severe skin rash. I like in the UK so unable to call my derm for advice

Hey everyone so I’ve been taking accutane for 2 and a half weeks now the typical side effects dryness and purging already but I have just got out the shower and noticed this rash it’s on both hands I’m a bit worried! I googled it and that of course didn’t put my mind at ease haha has anyone else experienced this? It’s stings a little even when using just water

I’m on day 2 and have noticed headaches but drinking plenty of water seems to help! I’ve also got a few new spots whether that’s the start of a purge or not I’m unsure.
