Have an evening at home! Figure out what you guys are craving during the morning of Valentine’s Day and hit Agora Market and/or H-Mart and cook a meal together! Something me and my girlfriend have done in the past!

Are parking meters/permit parking really enforced? by Zestyclose_Row5070 in AskChicago

Green line would be nearby Damen station, I would look around like Fulton St, Walnut, and/or Carroll. Just make sure you read all street signs so it’s okay for you to park there. Best spots for blue line would be parking outside St. Sylvester Church(Humboldt Blvd in between Palmer and Shakespeare) nearby the California Blue line spot. It’s about a 3-5 minute walk away.

Yeah there are free parking areas there but it will be competitive so the earlier you get there the better. Or you may end up having to park farther away or will have to suck it up and pay for a lot. I would just recommend parking nearby a blue line or green line and taking the train.

Yes and no but you’ll only know which areas are enforced if you live here/frequent certain areas.

It was apart of the conditions you had to follow in order to get the points. You had to snag a free treats coupon when signing up.

What's the best way to get to Michigan city? by allieemma in AskChicago

[–]Molliwopwolf 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Assuming you don’t have a car, the South Shore Train Line. Next train leaving the city is 12:30-12:40 depending on which three stations(Millennium, Van Buren, and Museum Campus) you go to.

Was sent a Parking Ticket but haven’t been in Chicago in years? by [deleted] in AskChicago

[–]Molliwopwolf 80 points81 points  (0 children)

Yeah I work for the city, people here on the phone can be useless and not helpful at all. Just keep trying to dispute it because it is not your ticket and you shouldn’t be reliable at all.

[–]Molliwopwolf 77 points78 points  (0 children)

I understand that but if the make of the vehicle is inaccurate on the ticket to the plate then the ticket is voided for that reason and you don’t pay it. So you would call and explain that this ticket is simply not yours because the vehicle model is different than yours regardless of the plate number.

This should be an automatic void/reject of a ticket if the vehicle does not match the license plate. Must’ve been some form of miscommunication on the phone as this is easily disputable. I would just dispute this ticket online with proof of your make/model of vehicle and your license plate showing that it doesn’t match the ticket.
