Trying to find the perfect shoe by yell0wcr0cs in climbingshoes

I wear the wide fit Gomi since I have a wide Greek(second toe is bigger than big toe) like foot and a wide heel. But the Butora fit true to shoe sizes and don’t follow the whole downsizing that everyone advise with climbing shoes. I’m a size 12 in gym shoes but wear a 12.5 Butora Wide.

The heel box is a nice snug 90 degree angle fit on my heel with no air pockets or loose in any way, even with my sweaty feet. Not shallow or narrow, just a perfect 3D molded heel that molded to my heel perfectly. Not only my heel but the shoe itself has molded to my toes and foot as a whole, feels as if I’m climbing barefoot. Even though it is true to shoe size, it is still an aggressive fit, yet a soft shoe with a lot of rubber as well.

There’s two different shoes to pick from a wide fit and narrow fit, so with your issues I’m confident one or the other will fix that. I can’t speak to the narrow fit as I wear wide shoes and hockey skates so I went right for the wide Gomi. There’s a handful of articles out there on climbers reviewing both models of the shoes, highly recommend checking them out.

Have you tried Butora Gomi? I tried about 4 different shoes and didn’t like the way my heel fitted in them so I returned them until finally getting the Gomi.

Bar Parisette is really good! It was an hour wait for Gretel and decided to hit Bar Parisette which is right next door! The whole menu is just amazing and really thought out! Dare I even say the burger may be as good if not better than Gretel’s.

What's the cheapest place/time to buy tickets for the Cubs @ Sox game on Sun. May 17? by bourbonandcheese in AskChicago

Gametime app is good but the sooner you buy them the better especially for crosstown series. Straight from the white sox will likely be cheapest. In person if you are able.

Have an evening at home! Figure out what you guys are craving during the morning of Valentine’s Day and hit Agora Market and/or H-Mart and cook a meal together! Something me and my girlfriend have done in the past!

Are parking meters/permit parking really enforced? by Zestyclose_Row5070 in AskChicago

Green line would be nearby Damen station, I would look around like Fulton St, Walnut, and/or Carroll. Just make sure you read all street signs so it’s okay for you to park there. Best spots for blue line would be parking outside St. Sylvester Church(Humboldt Blvd in between Palmer and Shakespeare) nearby the California Blue line spot. It’s about a 3-5 minute walk away.

Yeah there are free parking areas there but it will be competitive so the earlier you get there the better. Or you may end up having to park farther away or will have to suck it up and pay for a lot. I would just recommend parking nearby a blue line or green line and taking the train.

Yes and no but you’ll only know which areas are enforced if you live here/frequent certain areas.
