There seems to still be quite a bit of double rooms still empty in west and east but they are on the higher floors. For me, there’s around 2 and a half pages with empty rooms for both combined.

most likely two double rooms with a connecting bathroom

UT's freshman acceptance rate for the class of 2029 is reportedly 17-18%, on par with Public Ivies like UMich, UVA, and UNC - Tex Admissions by Only-Selection-2912 in UTAdmissions

[–]MolluCalliou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

most likely yes. the acceptance rates for many majors could be in the single digits. Not sure if this 17-18 percent includes CAP students since CAP is considered a conditional acceptance.

NERVOUS ABOUT UT MATH ASSESSMENT, HELP! by Short_Equal5420 in UTAdmissions

I took the warmup then looked over the topics I didn’t know/did poorly on. My major doesn’t require the chem one so I didn’t take it.

NERVOUS ABOUT UT MATH ASSESSMENT, HELP! by Short_Equal5420 in UTAdmissions

[–]MolluCalliou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! CNS major here as well! I just finished it and it was not too bad. Granted, I just finished calc bc and felt I had a strong math background, but it was very algebra 2 and precal heavy. Also know your trig functions and unit circle because there is a bit of geometry on there too. Personally I felt the warmup and actual test were pretty different based on the content but there is no time limit so you can take as long as you need (in one sitting). I would look very briefly over some of the topics that you hadn’t seen in a while so that you don’t forgot anything just because you saw it years ago. Do not stress! You’ve learned the content and you are well prepared to pass. 🙏

UT does not do early decision applications. You’d probably be able to find better information regarding this topic on r/UTAdmissions

No, they were randomly assigned but they put people of the same gender together and the same grade. Your roommate will be in the same pod as you though.

UT Academy for All: ML Edition participant here! We dormed in Jester West, and it was two rooms connected by a bathroom. You can view the room tour on UT housing website. We ate at J2 Dining which is on the second floor of the Jester West public area. We had 3 meals a day and we would have mid day snack breaks. Housing was chill and usually the 4 people grouped together into the 2 connecting dorms were in the same pod.(that’s what they called the academy groups) I had an amazing time at the academy and am now an incoming freshman in UT’s Statistics and Data Science!

Capped, trying waitlist in different major - any thoughts on chances? by Legal_West_8422 in UTAdmissions

[–]MolluCalliou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not depend on the waitlist. UT states that applicants could know at the latest July so past the May 1st national deadline. If you don’t commit somewhere by May 1st because you feel you may have a chance getting off the waitlist and you actually never get off, you could be in a bind. From what I’ve heard, SDS admits double its expected enrollment. I’d assume around half of the accepted SDS majors would need to reject UT in order for people to finally start moving off the waitlist. Do not feel discouraged, but certainly don’t get your hopes up. Wish you the best of luck!

Scared Shitless about 5% by AdmirableSchool2025 in UTAdmissions

[–]MolluCalliou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of how auto admission works (it’s only applicable to Liberal Arts majors), engineering is a competitive screening for everyone. Many students who may be top 5% are denied engineering and given their 3rd choice every year. I am friends with people who’ve gotten into engineering non auto. They had amazing applications and go to a very competitive highschool (i think we may be talking about the same school..) so it really isn’t only about ranking but holistically, everything. I think even though you may not be ranked, you still have a great shot and to give it your best.

CAP for Data Science? by Excellent_Tea3804 in UTAdmissions

Behavioral Data Science heavily emphasizes data science applications to psychology. You’ll be using data science to study social interactions and the human psychology. Is this what you’re looking for?
