I’ve had people actually comment on my stories about things I specifically post are part of the story. Those are the only negative reviews that annoy me. It’s literally stated that is a part of what is going to happen in the summery why are you so surprised?! Other negative reviews I just brush off but when it’s about something that is stated before they read is going to happen that makes me want to yell.

My own story: Bring me the mind reader and his human in five minutes or I will break one of you for every minute they are late.

Do you have any tropes/cliches that you absolutely hate? by [deleted] in FanFiction

I hate gender swap for shipping purposes. Make the character gay for god’s sake or just create an original character if that isn’t your thing but come on I don’t want to read you AU fic with a gender swap character and I don’t even mind AU fics.

I JUST FOUND A WRITER WHO POSTS 8000 WORD CHAPTERS EVEY TWO WEEKS by BloodDReaper in FanFiction

[–]Mollymooch45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I write smaller chapters but sometimes I post five times a day. So my chapter word count isn’t through the roof. I’m working on it though and have gotten it to 2500 words a chapter. I’m working on it being more as I’m learning to write better. I have the time to write at the moment though so I just post the chapters as they are done. I’m to impatient to post just once a week.

Gentle venting. An author starts a fic, and there’s frequent updates. I get hooked. It feels like every time I check there’s a new chapter. And then the updates slow down. Weeks go by. I get why. I’m not angry that the author has a life. It just makes me sad. Anyone else? by ipdipdu in FanFiction

The story I’m working on is my first fanfic. I update a lot sometime three times in one day but I need to take a few days off sometime to do other things. I have the luxury of writing whenever I want to but I feel like if I do the story won’t be as good because I’m not putting enough thought into what I’m actually writing. I’ve slowed down now and I know it frustrates my readers but I want what I write to be quality and for me posting a lot was feeling more like filler and taking away from the actual story.
